alexf
There is not a hope of them doing anything against Villa. Villa are good and this Man U team is the worst I have seen in my lifetime. Just worry about ourselves and it's irrelevant what happens elsewhere.
Doctor Zaius
Never known a less pragmatic manager than Amorim. Has he really only got one system? It's been obvious since he arrived that he doesn't have the players for it. They're shocking under him. So many issues in this Man Utd team. Keeper is shite. Full backs don't look anything special. Still playing Maguire. Casemiros legs have gone and Hojlund/Zirkzee are both way, way off the pace. Fernandes, Yoro and Diallo the only real sparks. Was it dependent on champions league football? Can Man U now afford to pay so much on one player?
Heron
The big test starts now for Amorim for me. I wouldn't be all too worried to date as a Man United fan. I think he needs to have a really hard-hitting summer and sell off a lot of players and really rebuild the spine of his team, Rashford going seems an obvious one for me that will potentially allow them to rebuild somewhat and if I were them I'd probably get rid of Casemiro and potentially Garnacho. There'll be several others. I feel Amad is a good player for them and half a dozen new additions would really turn around their fortunes. Admittedly, I don't watch them all that much but attitude seems to be the issue there. Too many players thinking they've made it because they are at Man United and not enough thinking they've made it only when they've won things there. I cannot say I'm massively bothered. My good mate shared this quote from Matt Busby with me this evening: “There shall be no despair in defeat and no conceit in victory.” It's right, but how many times have you seen Man United fans be conceitful. They get everything they deserve in my opinion.
Ronaldo
I admire the Man U fans (the real ones I mean) for having Amorim’s back but there’s genuinely eff all to suggest he’s capable of turning the club around. He has Pep’s overemphasis on ideology with little (at best) of the intelligence, or the skill needed to manage both up and down, as impressions go so far. Personally I think Pep has lost it, he seems to be finding it really hard to adapt but he still has the best players so he gets results. Almiron seems to have neither

Yeah but he didn't have Europa League legend & serial winner Casemiro being allowed to do what he does best because super DM Ugarte was on the bench. BennyBlanco
No CL money According to Radcliffe their skint The rebuild should be severely hindered The new stadium should be sidelined. But They’ll still get to spend whatever they want on the team. The rules won’t apply to them for various spurious reasons that nobody will bother to challenge. They’ll spend as much as a team that finished in the top 5 last year and be able to go again.

Also cant get rid of players like Højlund, Mount, Ugarte, De Ligt, Zirkzee, Anthony etc without their remaining book value having to be written off. Rashford has a contract earning him £15m a year with 3 years remaining. Cant see a club willing to match that + buying him for a decent fee. Noone is going to touch Casemiro with a ten foot pole unless Man Utd pays for 80% of his contract. Without CL its going to be a long process transforming that team. alexf
Someone will pay for Antony based off his loan spell but they will still take a massive loss on the fee. I can't help but feel, just like Chelsea and Liverpool etc, these clubs have too many connections and if they need help it will happen. If an old, clearly legs gone, Fabinho can fetch £40m from Liverpool, you better believe a multi time CL winner like Casemiro could also end up in Saudi for a dodgy fee. Same for any other names they have left.

And even if they could spend like a top 5 team, that wont help them catch up in the short term. That would just be maintaining the gap in squad value, which is pretty big atm. Doubt they can even do that this summer. Think we will outspend and distance ourselves further from them.

Huge amounts of debt, the “owner/patsy ” saying point blank that they were gunna run out of cash by Xmas. Still managing to buy a player for £60m+ without wheeling and dealing. It’s bollocks man. They’ve been a mid table team for nearly 10 years. We want a player for that we have to turf out half the youth and amortise a mid table sale over 5 years😂

But still there are limits and they are near to breaching them because of all their poor transfer business.

Only players they have actually sold are decent players like Elanga, Henderson and Mctominay who werent on ridicolous contracts. And the rapist i guess. Are Saudi still buying has beens? Feel like its been a while. Not sure Fabinho is comparable to Casemiro btw. He was 29 and a regular for a top team before he went down there.

r0cafella
I actually feel bad for @Froggy we know this feeling well and its the absolute Pitts. That being said, I can't help but take some pleasure in the fact a cartel club ends up in deep shit bedding a rebuild which is extremely difficult to do because of ffp rules which they insist on because they don't want to compete.
