Big performance by The Best Midfielder In The Premier League tonight, really cementing his status.

Probably added to his "chances created" stats.

@Froggyyou trusting the process or Anorim out?

Amorim has our full support. We want a full rebuild with a different approach. Not winning a trophy and acting like everything is OK and continuing on the way things were.

I don't actually think Amorim got much wrong last night. Ugarte probably should have started, but other than that we controlled the game. We are just so toothless going forward and if Fernandes doesn't have a good game you just can't see where the goal is coming from. Cunha and a striker should be a start in fixing that.

I watched the highlights before heading to work and it seemed a low quality game, you lot definitely had the better of though, unless the editing has led me astray.

Are you lot just backing him for the sake of it though? From what I've seen he has shown much. It's all well and good wanting a rebuild but it's a slow process nowadays.

For once I’m being serious here and not just acting the twat….that 1st half was an embarrassment to the sport of football. It was rancid

If I’d been told I was watching two mid table third tier sides I would have believed it

Everything I’ve seen from Amorim makes me think he’s simply not good enough. From his demeanour to his tactics to his selections

Clearly I’m not as knowledgeable or emotionally invested as a Man Utd fan would be, but watching from the sidelines I see nothing to suggest he’s any good

Other managers at other clubs have done a much better job in a similar timeframe with worse players - Howe being an obvious example

So I hope Amorim sticks around for a long time

We think he's shown enough, and that the weaknesses on display are from clearly inadequate players. A lot of it is desperation I'm sure because he's so fucking likeable. He's refreshingly honest, he doesn't shy away from anything difficult, and he doesn't bullshit when it comes to poor performances.

That being said, if the league form continues as it has into September/October, everyone will be calling for his head. A colossal improvement is needed.

They are so so poor mind , I actually thought they would win last night but aside from a ten minute spell at the end they were absolutely hopeless . That's literally the best they can play as well with all their best players on the pitch. I know they will spend a shit load of money in the summer again but they are so far away from being a good side .

Worst thing about this is that they have to make a decision whether to stick with Amorim. He has stated that it is a multi-year rebuild, which any reasonable person would respect. But clearing out the squad and buying a load of players to suit the Amorim 3-4-3 will be a risky gamble if it doesn't work and the pressure returns to sack him, leaving any new manager with players who then don't fit another new system.

Mind-boggling how they just got in a manager who was successful "on paper", without considering playing style, long-term tactical philosophy etc. Horrible mismanagement at boardroom level.

What's this based on? How is his playing style and tactical philosophy not being considered?

The only people calling for Amorim's head are, once again, opposition fans. Probably the same people on here who called for Howe's head after a bad patch this season.

Awful game, complete mystery how either managed to find a way to get to final. Man U then manage to lose to a team 17th in league who are known to blow up.

It’s an unmitigated mess; they had to win last night.

Neither of us had to win last night if we're being honest.
