Pleased we did so well, shame we had to have that incident to detract from it. Was sure the Villa result would boost us, but also well done to Pardew for his approach today. Except his approach to that dude's head obviously.

Aye already seen that on the pitch has been forgotten on Sky and we just know MOTD will skip through the goals and spend 10 minutes discussing it too.

Didn't think a midfield shorn of Cabaye would be able to play like they did today, very good from Anita and Tiote although Hull were abject. Bagpuss playing that hopeless son of his.

Loved the 4th goal where their defence parted like the red sea for Dan fucking Gosling

He's fucking useless like.

If they could be arsed, the FA and Premier League should investigate it.  Fuck off does Bruce actually believe in his footballing ability.

Great result but it's a similar thing to runs that have happened before. I haven't much faith that he'll stick with that system because I don't believe AP's fully in control or has full understanding of what he's doing. I would genuinely love him to prove me wrong and show the consistency that would make him a capable manager but he's just a likely to play 2nd half fearball the next game as he is to show attacking intent and a storming mentality. It's far too chancey. That's before you even consider his conduct and sycophantic tendencies to the regime.

Biggest example of footballing nepotism since Kenny and Paul.

I wonder if we are going to put 10 men behind the ball and players not give a shit anymore, silly pricks!

Read the fucking thread.

People are happy with the performance because we didn't do that.

I don't have a clue how good Pardew or the team is.

I'm now getting puzzled how our performances do change game to game.

If you squinted a bit, it was Ricky Villa-esque.

As previously it just makes you wonder why the performances are so staggeringly inconsistent. I know the players themselves are inconsistent and so is the opposition but the workrate, pressing, passing and movement today was lightyears ahead of some of the shite we've served up in recent weeks. We attacked them at pretty much every opportunity and got the rewards.

The squad clearly isn't good enough but there's enough quality there to deal with most teams in this league. It can only be a mentality/tactics thing.

Personally I'd say the Cabaye sale completely derailed us as a team, the entire side and tactics were built with him as the key man with no natural replacement so losing him there was obviously going to be a fall in form and performance which was exacerbated by tiote and remy being out for periods too. This affected confidence as well so the win last week was huge, failure to score the goal despite some ridiculous misses and god only knows what it would have done to the team. Seems now that the correct balance in the team has been found (at least vs meh opposition) and if we can repeat this performance there could be a strong end to the season with few games you'd expect us to struggle in (in theory) left. Of coarse I may just be ridiculously over optimistic as usual

I particularly liked the bit where the defender ran away from him, you can't teach that sort of stuff.

And the bit where he slipped just as he was doing well.

 calm down bretty!

You can fuck as well

Completely bossed the game, took control of it and kicked on. Credit to Krul, superb double save then we scored. Game changing moment but he also let Hull back in it. Thankfully our class still took it's toll and we never dropped our heads. Anita is just superb btw. If you think otherwise, you're also a prick.

It basically depends entirely on which side scores the first goal.

You can.  Roger Johnson and Danny Simpson are going into partnership to do so post-retirement.

Only raging for the shite sprouted on here. By Wednesday the forum will be saying how shit we are and go to Fulham with ten men behind the ball. Such short memories.

Anyways it's a superb win, great performance and injected some much needed life and belief into our push for Europe, even if we are rank outsiders (thanks to Ashley).
