xLiaaamx
In terms of what they actually did for us, I'd be having Nobby and his trumpet on the right.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Beardsley was a number 10 which we haven't played in a long time so hard to gauge formation. But he gets in every time for me and the other players fit the formation around him and Shearer. Never know if Beardsley could play in a front 3 with Shearer up top. Probably not Hatem was best in a front 3 on the right so he'd miss out imo. Couldn't play on the side of a midfield 4.
Teasy
I'd have Coloccini in his prime ahead of Lascelles, such a incredibly classy defender when he was at his best here.
Guest
Given Debuchy Enrique Woodgate Coloccini Solano Robert Cabaye Lee Beardsley Shearer 4-4-1-1 formation. Enrique’s defensive ability to cover Robert not getting back over half way, Debuchy to provide some legs for Solano on the overlap...drool.

I also remember Hottinger being shit hot at RB, but I was young, so...
Guest
I’d probably go Hamann over both to be honest. Lee in the Lampard role and Hamann box-to-box.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Shiiit, forgot about Hamann. He was fucking incredible. One of the worst sales ever.
Odear
Forgot about David Batty..
Super Duper Branko Strupar
Batty would get in only if we were playing against Nicky BUTT.
toon25
Why was Hamann sold? Batshit mental to get rid of him at the time.
geordiedean
He’d give Rafa cold sweats at night. I’m not sure there’s a modern game manager out there who could harness his talent. King Kev and SBR would have done just fine though.. Best XI (1990-2018) ? Given Barton Woodgate Albert Enrique Ben Arfa Cabaye Speed Ginola Cole Shearer Subs: Pav, Lascelles, Lee, Beresford, Robert, Ferdinand, Beardsley As if anyone would have Ben Arfa over Robert and Peter Beardsley on the bench??? Really??? Cabaye isn't fit to lace his boots nor Roberrt Lees
CaliMag
Why was Hamann sold? Batshit mental to get rid of him at the time. He wanted the transfer and said his family couldn’t settle in the North or some shit and then went to Liverpool and won a bunch of trophies. Bastard. I also remember Inhoped he would break his leg and he was actually injured at the start of his career there IIRC
Dinho lad
I recall him saying that he would rather play for Liverpool in the UEFA cup than for us in the CL league. I think he saw in the long term that the two clubs were heading in different directions - and he was right.

Dinho lad
Given Solano Woodgate Albert Enrique Ben Arfa Lee Beardsley Ginola Shearer Ferdinand Moving Solano to RB simply to accommodate HBA! You're a true HBA fanboy, KI! (Yes, I know Nobby played there before in his career!)

James
Solano was way more talented than Ben Arfa a wand of a right foot and one of the best passers and crossers we ever had. Such an intelligent player too.
