Paully
Five years to the day since this absolute bargain signed for £1.5m - brilliant singing!

Astroblack
Five years to the day since this absolute bargain signed for £1.5m - brilliant singing! Wow! Love that we have a quality player that has stuck around for so long. Said the other day that I didn't mind if we sold him but I take it back, damn it, I take it back. I hope he stays forever. And I propose this. What if we made him captain. It means fuck all anyway but what if we gave it to Perez. It could have a big effect on him.
joeyt
I like Perez but making him captain seems an incredibly daft suggestion
Astroblack
The guy thinks he's a superstar. What if we said "Ok, you are the superstar, go be the superstar". Put a little pressure on the lad.
joeyt
Does he think he's a superstar? We've seen he performs a lot better without pressure on him, which we saw when Almiron came in
Astroblack
I think he does. That celebration. I feel like he'd take the pressure full on, though and really rise to the occasion.
Fugazi
Not sure how responding to the fans who went OTT in giving him shit is thinking he's a superstar.
Astroblack
Kinda think he's going a bit OTT by continuing with it. I never booed him but I presume it' stopped by now. I hope he goes back to doing regular celebrations.
LV
Kinda think he's going a bit OTT by continuing with it. I never booed him but I presume it' stopped by now. I hope he goes back to doing regular celebrations. I think it’s just become his thing rather than a message to the fans anymore. And a lot of fans and kids have adopted it. ToonArmy1892
Yea, it just became a thing, not that i gave a fuck anyway, i wanted to see him put his fingers in his ears as much as possible, as it meant a goal for NUFC, and he did.

Astroblack
Just to back up my argument for Ayoze to captain thing. What if we stired up some drama within the club by saying basically "Ayoze is our guy". Kinda like what Man Utd have done with Pogba, Brazil with Neymar. We say "Ayoze is our captain" "He's the talisman". I picture the pre game being all about him. Visions of the camera on him in the tunnel, cameras pointing toward him as he's warming up. Lascelles will be the captain among the lads but from a media perpective, it'd be all about Ayoze.

Astroblack
Hear me out. For me, when Ayoze scores, I'm like "oh yeah, we have Ayoze, he does score goals". It's not something I expect tbh. I think this would elevate his game and he'd go into games thinking "I have to score, I am the man". The lad looks confident as all hell anyway. I think if he put a little pressure on him, he'd really take it on and grow as a person into the match winning player that he actually is.

Raconteur
I reckon I might buy his shirt wherever he goes, even if it's somewhere despicable (a safe-ish statement as he's unlikely to go to a club I really loathe).
Kanj
Valencia are my Spanish club. Might as well just throw all my eggs in that basket.
Gallowgate End
So Mike Ashley doesn’t want to keep Rondon who contributed to 44% of our goals last season and wants to sell our top scorer too. And has binned the manager that guarenteed him survival. I wonder how great this Mike Ashley plan will go
