Guest n4e
What a surprise, a big player for a big team with a blatant red card, not getting sent off. http://i.imgur.com/1yedjhM.jpg

Not many teams are willing to play this defensively at home in fairness. Any team is going to struggle to break down a team with 9 men strung across the 18 yard line. Guest firetotheworks
The quality of football in our league this season is the lowest I can remember it being for at least 15 years, imo.
ponsaelius
State of the league, everybody is shite and teams already playing at home against Chelsea like a minnow playing an FA Cup 3rd round tie.
Sima
What a disgusting spectacle. Sunderland had zero interest in taking the attack to Chelsea. The fact that this kind of display is lauded by commentators and pundits is a sad state of affairs. This isn't football, money now dominates the game so much to the point that every point is vital and teams would rather not risk going for three points than parking the bus and getting a point. It's little wonder a few wins moves you up the table in the way that it does.

They've only lost 3 games in the league this season. You just need to score early against them but it's easier said than done.

ponsaelius
See when the mackems cheered cos Cattermole kicked it into the crowd under no pressure? NE football is embarrassing at times. Home games like a massive underdog and cheering on cloggers. Half the problem with unfullfilled potential of the region is the fact fans are literally happy to eat up any old shite. They've only lost 3 games in the league this season. You just need to score early against them but it's easier said than done. No one would be calling them a bogey team if we were talking about just this season. They've beaten Man City at least once in the league every year for the last 5 years (edit: sorry, 4 years) and taken 4 points off them twice. For a team that's finished 13th, 10th, 13th ,17th and 14th over the period of City's ascendency, that's an oddly consistent record of "upsets" against a team that strolls it against almost any opposition. And yet their league placement would suggest they don't apply themselves to the other 36 games with equal fervor. I don't think they're as big a bogey team for Chelsea.
