Worn for a few hours today and the badge has already come unstuck at the corner. Kits are such a joke these days. So, despite my suggestion that she fuck the bastards off, get a refund, and find me something random and class on Vinted/CFS instead - she insisted on seeing it through because the shirt is a banger and she'd got it personalised with Schär, who she knows I love. The club shop would only do a refund as opposed to a replacement (ridiculous); meanwhile their reduced price offer was gone by that point. It was still reduced at JD though, so she went there for a replacement instead and job's a good'un. Trouble is... the clueless wanks at JD have done the personalisation without the umlaut! 🙃 I'm afraid I'm far too fussy to wear this. She fucking hates me. Ffs though, surely anyone doing that job notices someone ask for Schär and is switched-on enough to do it right? Maybe not tbf but gah!
SEMTEX Posted Monday at 20:06 Share Posted Monday at 20:06 (edited) I am sorry for your troubles. I truly sympathize with you.... but also... "surely anyone doing that job" The job of working minimum wage in JD Sports and loitering too close to the shirt press at the wrong time? Surely they're qualified enough to know that a certain player, that has probably been put on about 10 shirts in JD Sports history, has an umlaut in their name? C'man my friend. Yorkie Posted Monday at 20:58 Share Posted Monday at 20:58 This is Fabian F Schär we're talking about here, not some no-mark.

Superior Acuña Posted yesterday at 00:40 Share Posted yesterday at 00:40 Separately bought the 95-97 reissue. The material feels distinctly different to what I remember, and the stitched badge I'd spot as being different straight away (cos it's better really). Close enough for me though, I'm happy. Wanted to try it on first, got an S just like I always do though. Think the sleeves are bigger but otherwise fit is pretty standard.
Fak Posted yesterday at 00:44 Share Posted yesterday at 00:44 (edited) You can buy the umlaut for a quid (plus delivery). Get a baking sheet and iron it on for 30 seconds. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/146281859313?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=piFRazZRRuK&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=oXOPAbMMRM-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Edited yesterday at 00:57 by Fak

Elliottman Posted yesterday at 09:04 Share Posted yesterday at 09:04 How much is a name and number these days? he boy wants his home and away tops done
Harry 209 Posted yesterday at 09:06 Share Posted yesterday at 09:06 Madrid's 3rd shirt next season is a belter. Very simple and refined with a late 80s style collar. If they use the same template for us, there's two great options - silver with black details and the NUFn badge, or yellow with green details and the castle/magpie badge. Both would be very well received I'm sure.

The only good thing about it was the Brown Ale logo, which the new one won't have. This is absolute wank to be honest it's a horrible shirt with no good memories. Makes me wonder if whoever makes these decisions has any emotional connection with the club.

christ Posted yesterday at 09:56 Share Posted yesterday at 09:56 I’ll not have this slander. The 98-99 away kit looked absolutely lush. Yes, it clicked like fuck the minute you put it on but it looked beautiful. Shame I associate it with such shit football. Less arsed about the 97-98 shirt, but I can see how a modern iteration could be a bit of a cult hit. Off-centre sponsor is really unique and colour scheme wasn’t dreadful. Kid Icarus
The 98-99 top is probably the most underrated Newcastle kit of all time tbh, I wear it all the time. Edited 23 hours ago by Kid Icarus
