I'm sure the diagonal fade will line up properly on the real thing. It's great in my opinion. They are only repeating the same source but it suggests there might be something in it. I think the shirt looks very professional and wouldn't be surprised if it's the actual shirt, or a close to final version. Personally I quite like it and I've not liked the last few. The fade is well done and if they were going to mess around with it to bring something new then that's as inobtrusive as anything in my opinion. I like the stripe width too - as others have said a striped back would be great although doubtful we'll get it. In fact, they probably could get away with it with this shirt if the back stripes were heavily faded.
Harry 209 Posted Sunday at 17:55 Share Posted Sunday at 17:55 (edited) Good point - if they line it up correctly there could be enough contrast to go with stripes on the back. The template is wrong tho so it definitely isn't the real thing. Edited Sunday at 17:55 by Harry
Jordan Posted Sunday at 20:48 Share Posted Sunday at 20:48 I don’t like it but I can handle stripes on the back like we have this season as it’s easier for European games etc. If it’s just solid white though, i’d never accept that, it’s just shit and lazy from Adidas. The Butcher Posted Sunday at 20:51 Share Posted Sunday at 20:51 Wew, that's really bad. Black and white stripes, please adidas. It's not that hard.
Theregulars Posted Sunday at 23:53 Share Posted Sunday at 23:53 I don’t mind the creative licence but don’t think they’ve exercised it well or particularly imaginatively. That just looks like something that faded in the wash or had acid spilled on it. I’d be well on board with a half/half.

AyeDubbleYoo Posted yesterday at 08:19 Share Posted yesterday at 08:19 I’m not a massive fan but I don’t mind them trying things every now and then. I’m not going to buy a home kit every year anyway. Things always look completely different when worn as well, and then different again on the pitch.

pedro111
Think I've been done over with that 91 barcode kit from a while back. Said it was posted about 5 or 6 weeks ago! Ah well, you win some you lose some. Edited 23 hours ago by pedro111

Castore managed just fine.
Harry 209
UEFA does allow stripes if they contrast enough. See Barcelona 23/24 Champions League shirt below. "Article 54 of the UEFA Equipment Regulations clearly sets out the spectrophotometric method for determining the contrast on the shirt. Therefore, the contrast of Barcelona's stripes and numbers is still within the safe zone and there is no need to remove the stripes."
Elma
Therefore, theoretically Adidas could use this method to work out the fading required on the stripes for the back of the shirt to meet UEFA's criteria?

pedro111
Aye I've been disappointed with the stock levels from Adidas. Was in the club shop a few weeks back and there were barely any kids sizes. I've ordered online and still not had a dispatch notice ten days later.
