Aye, must support random thicko c***s purely because they support the same football club as you. Doesn't matter if they're facilitating the demise of said football club.

I'm just pig sick of seeing arrogant t***s pat each other on the back and label vast swathes of our support 'thicko c***s', as admirable a stance as your non-attendance from 'Murica is. Have personally packed it in this season, but a large percentage of people who continue to go were there watching Keegan's and Robson's teams, and will be there long after you've given up. As for facilitating the demise of the club, get a grip man.

 They are literally handing over their money to the man responsible for ruining our club. How can it be anything else?

ASHLEY OUT

Please take my £500

50,000 plebs.

My gripe with the 'facilitating' comment is that we're all facilitating it by subscribing to sky, buying into the Premier League brand etc. Don't see the point in apportioning any unique level of blame to those watching the football on a Saturday as they've always done. The blame ultimately lies with Ashley and those running the game.

Your general point is a fair one but you, and many others, show yourself up with s**** like '50,000 plebs'.

No the ones showing themselves up are the fools who are handing over their £500+ year after year, sit in silence like a load of dummies,  whilst Ashley and his chums sit there laughing at them. They might as well all drop their trousers, bend over and let the fat man finish the job.

Okay - well I don't mind saying I'm one of the "plebs", "sheep" or whatever you want to call us who still attend fixtures. However, I'm also one of the few that actively goes, sings, and protests. Yes, financially it is contributing to the demise of the club, but as far as I'm concerned without the likes of me there's nigh-on 52,000 day trippers with their flasks and sweets having a jolly old day out. I go to have a voice, to express my love for Newcastle, the city and the club in every era prior to this and in hope that one day we take it back, and take it back soon. Without people like me protesting in the ground where possible the media and the club think everything is alright. I'm not saying I'm alone and I'm not saying I protest 24/7 but to be labelled as harshly as some of you are, I find a little bit irritating to be honest. One thing I do agree is that it takes a United front to force this c*** out and people who don't even live in the area anymore going on about how they don't go anymore on here (and abusing those who do) is kind of ridiculous because I bet you sure as hell didn't leave the area as a result of NUFC. Therefore, it's not even a choice you have to make.

I hate the c*** running this club - but for me I am defiant (or in denial) that this is my club and it will return to being my club and it will also remain mine so long as I'm in it when I believe I should be.

I boycotted Spurs last year because it was (for me) a United protest. I would have liked to think those who continue to boycott would also join me in protest on occasion in the ground - but apparently that's a no go for most. Some sign of unity that...

Your sole voice in the ground is doing nothing because the majority of fans are content with this existence. Or indifferent enough to not say anything. The fan base has changed. They're spineless, and there's nowt you can do by going to each game and shouting on your own. Stop paying him and find something else to do with your time, you pleb.

And whether I live in the area or not is irrelevant, at no point have I said "I stopped going each week because of Mike Ashley" I just think that everyone who is going now, shouldn't be. There is absolutely no reason to attend SJP until there is some group effort to achieve something, and tbh, I don't think that day will ever come.

Heza although I think you're a mug for still going, I respect you because you are going to cheer the team and jeer the regime so to speak. You are like a foot soldier. It's the utter cretins who go and buy pints, pies, programmes, wonga shirts and bemoan referee mistakes or bad luck for our woes that do my head in. The type of people who considered Carver a good bloke, a Geordie doing his best or Pardew hamstrung by lack of spending only to stick up for Ashley for turning a profit and keeping us from doing a Leeds. SJP is full of these mongs.

The cold hard fact is that attending under this this regime gives it legitimacy and is perpetuating it. We all saw how much they shat it when they knew people would take action and now it seems they know if they still make the token noises we'll go back to being good little fans. I traveled 600 miles all told to watch that shite on Saturday at the expense of around 3-400 quid for my family. It's got nowt to do with where anyone lives or the amount of time they put in. Emotionally and time wise we all put in a lot but it's a painful truth that by attending on Saturday I legitimised that. I respect that people offer voices in the ground but we know that Ashley doesn't deal in that currency.

Well that first bit can be applied to one ticket not being sold TBH. Someone else just buys it.

My point is though it's not a choice you have to make, it has 0 level of consideration for the factors why people might decide to not go. So just to go on calling people plebs or whatever without any understanding or attempt to understand their reasoning is just ignorant as fuck.

We've had this discussion about 100 times. I am fully aware of your line of thought on the matter. I just don't agree with it, and I think you're a pleb for paying him the money. Let another pleb pay him instead. Maybe one day the plebs will drop off. Who knows.

Either way, NUFC is fucked, but you're not facilitating it.

Aye and I agree with all of that. Including me being a mug for still going.

There's perfectly good reasons for some to still go that's all I'm getting at.

That's only true if the ground is full every week, which it isn't.

Which is why I boycotted when I believed it was a United effort.

You could say an extra person might turn up and show discontent from one week to the next...

at no point have I said "I stopped going each week because of Mike Ashley"

I racked it in because of Mike Ashley.

The excitement of waking on matchday (200 mile round trip for home games) had long since been replaced by absolute dread at having to go.

The decision to call it a day? So, so liberating.

Seeing that the 'head of security' had been stealing Bruges tickets and selling them on the day - not only keeping his job but evading prosecution - in the city neatly summed up where we were as a club. Things have not improved.

It doesn't make any sense because we're talking about pumping money into the club.  You boycotted a game and fair play but I assume you still paid for it, and this season you're still paying for it.  I think I prefer the "can't whack the habit, need to bring my kids, etc" stuff to the idea of a one man protest making any difference tbh.

It's not a one man protest if more join. Which is my whole point. If people like myself join those for a boycott then those who boycott shoudl join for sit-ins or other in ground protests. Even if it's for the sake of one or a few games. It's strength in numbers that matters and whether that be in the ground or out is almost irrelevant because most the cash comes from those outside the ground now anyways watching on Sky.

Lots have people have packed it in though, I think their way is better than pumping £500+ in every year.  And we've seen with all of the empty seats that attendances can and will drop off when more and more do so.  Sorry but it just seems a mad justification to me, if you want to go to the match then fair enough.

It's not spot on  It's "not a choice I have to make", as if I couldn't possibly imagine what such a decision would entail?! It's really not all that complex like.

I can just as easily play my own card on this one - given I get to come to Newcastle once a year at best, and there have been a handful of times where I could've gone to a game, including big games vs Man Utd, yet I haven't. And it wasn't exactly a difficult decision. Hand over money to this NUFC and Mike Ashley? No chance.

If everyone just stopped going I guarantee it would force instant change. An empty stadium would do far more good in the grand scheme of things than you shouting (on your own) "Get out of our club" at Ashley who is more often than not, not even there anyway. They got a fright when best part of 20k didn't turn up for Spurs last season but then everyone ran back for the next game.

I agree but for AO to work they need as many people on board as possible and that includes those in the ground. Therefore, you have to do things both in and out to create enough support for back to back boycotts to gain significant traction. Odd ones here or there don't matter, you need Spurs style boycotts in consecutive fixtures.

No your going to the games and your putting money into his pocket whilst he takes the piss and he will continue to do so as long as the likes of you keep attending. Got nothing to do with peoples circumstances and reasoning if you attend your doing nothing to change anything as he doesn't give a fuck if you boo and call him shit; as he has your money whilst laughing his tits off. The boycott of one game is fuck all and the only way anything will happen is a mass boycott over a period of time but you keep making your excuses and keep putting money into his back pocket. Anyone who attends deserves everything they get and in my opoinion are two faced when complaining about things. Your right the 'sheep' will continue to attend mathes and you deserve everything you get by doing so.
