Kaizero
Breakaway organisation needed. According to Karen Espelund that's a possibility. USA, UEFA and Invitees. The "Big" South American countries apparently voted against Blatter as well.
Tiresias
let's all remind ourselves of the 'saints' that are UEFA while we're doing this http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/may/29/pep-guardiola-warned-uefa-topo-t-shirt Pep Guardiola has been warned by Uefa after the Bayern Munich coach wore a T-shirt calling for justice following the death of a journalist during the 2014 World Cup. Jorge ‘Topo’ López, an Argentinian reporter covering the tournament with his wife, was killed when the São Paulo taxi he was travelling in hit another vehicle. Guardiola, who knew López well, wore a T-shirt that read #JusticiaParaTopo during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Bayern Munich v Porto Champions League fixture in April. Uefa rules consider it an offence when an individual, club or association “uses sporting events for manifestations of a non-sporting nature”. Guardiola was therefore warned following a meeting of Uefa’s control, ethics and disciplinary body in Nyon on Friday. He has three days to appeal. Kaizero
Oh I agree, but I don't see much hope of Uefa suddenly growing loads of balls and actually leaving the world cup. As a power play it makes perfect sense. The sponsors bring the money. The big nations bring the sponsors. Pull the big names out, and the sponsors pull out. This leads to the "lesser "nations that are dependent on said money to start sweating, which could hurry up the removal of Blatter. Basically. If UEFA and CONMEBOL pull out, FIFA will be dead in the water. They will still have most of the countries in the world, but no sponsor would give their WC any money. That said I also think it would probably never happen. But if there was a time for them to flex muscles, it's now.

triggs
Just playing devil's advocate here but what happens if FIFA collapses and a new governing body is formed? What are they going to do to stop corruption? Prevent poorer countries from having a say in decisions? Its not as easy as to just start a new organisation and corruption will stop
Tiresias
As said previously, with complete transparency over the finances and an independent body monitoring it, of course appointing that all without corruption seeking in is fairly implausible. You;d need a sealed tight legal constitution they have to abide by for there to be essentially legal internal oversight. You'd need to look at how legal systems are set up in countries that have successfully fought embedded and systemic organised crime and see how they've gone about it. As well as full transparency, which they should have as they are a non-profit. It's actually quite easy. Not saying all corruption would be gone. But compared to the current FIFA with shit voting system and no transparency whatsoever... I mean, yeah...

What are they going to do to stop corruption? Prevent poorer countries from having a say in decisions? Its not as easy as to just start a new organisation and corruption will stop The best way to do it is to be a democratic organisation where if you fail as leader then you can be voted out and have a set amount of time you can be the leader for. Then you also open up your finances publically. All of which FIFA refuses to do.
