Messis 100th cap for Argentina today. Needs 4 goals to at least reach 1 in 2. Don't think that's impossible.

Aguero and Otamendi benched for Higuain and Demichelis. Probably resting those two, but would've loved to see Tevez.  :hmm:

Looking at Argies top scorer of all time, Batistutas goals per game record is crazy. 0.71 goals per game.

Stadium is apparently sold out and almost only Argentinians. Expect it to be a great atmosphere.

Don't think I'm allowed give streams but what I'm doing lately is going to reddit.com/r/soccerstreams and they usually have some good links to streams there

Apparently Neymar went after the ref and tried to hit him in the tunnel. Ref put that down along with being insulted by Neymar in the report which is the reason for the 4 matches. My only problem with believing that is that he was escorted out by ''bodyguards'' down the tunnel, while the ref went back into the middle of the pitch. He also said in an interview he didn't know he had gotten a red at the end of the game and was told afterwards.

No idea how they decided to believe the ref, but if it's true (which I very much doubt) he should be getting far mor than 4 games. Trying to attack the ref ffs

I honestly think no matter what Neymar should learn and change his style.  He should know he is being targetted, and once he's off Brazil is finished.

Change his style? Maybe learn how to keep his cool, but he should never change his style. Why would a 23 year old considered a top 5 in the world change his style now?

No, he should learn how to stay away from troubles and protect himself better, just like Messi.  I understand he has no fear for any clash or winding up opponents which is fine but you don't need to show that every time right? Now a red (certainly unjustified in your point of view, I am neutral) and that's it for Brazil.  Similarly, during WC, once Colombia knocked him out from the game, we all knew Brazil got no chance.

Don't disagree, but at the same time players like Suarez, Neymar, Cristiano have this attitude, they hate to lose and they'll lose composure when it's not going their way. I think the red card was highly justified, was a silly ''headbutt'' from Neymar, what I don't think is justified though is punishing him harder than both Murillo (didn't get a red despite initating the ''headbutt) and Bacca for giving his 2nd or 3rd off the ball shove of the game. Or the fact that the refs are after him from minute one.

As for not standing a chance, yeah we are too dependant on Neymar, but we also need to learn to play without him. This Copa America is a chance for players such as Coutinho and Willian to be protagonists. Oscar, Luiz Gustavo, Marcelo, Diego Alves and now Neymar are all starters out injured and I think it's a healthy experience for the others. What happens in three years if Neymar misses the WC because of an injury?

It's the Brazilian national team and it's sad to see how dependant we are of Neymar, time for others to step up so maybe this could be a blessing in disguise.  Semi-finals is a must, not reaching the semi's would be an embarrassment even without Neymar.

You are right.  The problem, or the difference between Neymar and other two is, Neymar is playing for the "supposed to be" the best national team in the world who should be at least semi-finalist in every competition, while Ronaldo / Suarez are just playing for 2nd-tiers.  Ronaldo won't be blamed for his poor performance because no one expects Portugal to advance (yes they are that shit) and Suarez has more than enough credit to spend due to his 2010 heroics.  Everyone has a special spot for the yellow no.10 shirt and expect this player to be an absolute ace and guide the team to win.  This is what Neymar has to bear, no matter what.  Fail to do so, due to ANY reason, is his fault.  Unfair?  Probably, but that's the destiny for the owner of this shirt, especially given the current state of Brazil.  On the other hand, this is for his own good as well.  It is really fortunate that he can have a full recovery from his back injury, but goddess of luck won't smile at him every time.

Agree with most of your words, Brazil should still make semi-finals regardless.

 I do think Thiago deserves to be captain again, I wasn't totally against Neymar being captain at first, but the more I see it the more I see how much pressure it's put on him. He should be concentrated on playing football and not on talking to the ref. Dunga should probably talk to him. Would love someone like Luiz Gustavo to become a captain. Such an underrated player, but maybe he's to quiet?

He also looks like a drug kingpin which wouldn't help

He acts as a leader on the pitch. Last WC when no one was doing shit and we were in trouble against Cameroon, he won the ball high up the pitch and played a pitch perfect cross to Neymar. He does that quite often, take responsibility onto himself. Obviously we didn't see that against Germany but that's another story. Still think the most natural leader is Thiago Silva.
