Is Wood up there with Ryan Nelson as best kiwi of all time?

Wynton Rufer I think would be up there, won the league with Werder Bremen, also played against us in Keegans second game as manager, a hastily arranged friendly against the all whites.

Probably already been said most of this.........

Bizarre there's no Forest players, Elliot Anderson, Gibbs-White.

Watkins 13 goals,Delap 10 goals, Tavernier of Bournemouth has been miles ahead of Rashford/Jones/Henderson.

Rashford, Henderson, walker in before gibbs-white , Spence is why England is a joke.

Rashford seems to have found some form at Villa, to be fair.

I mean rashford has had a handful of good games and he's straight back in.

Ramsdale at southampton has been shit but is in the squad.

Murphy has been poor the last four games or so but you'd expect he'd get a call up.

Little angel Gomes tossed aside for the makem is strange aswell.

Kind of, for a game or two.

TBH I’m assuming this squad is fairly experimental so he can have a look at some people.

Everyone talking about Hendo.

I think Curtis Jones ahead of the likes of Gallagher, Gibbs-White, Angel Gomes, Adam Wharton ... is pretty outrageous.

Curtis Jones starts regularly in a double pivot or 8 for the best team in the country.

Gallagher and Gibbs White play 10 or wide I believe. they are competing with Rogers, Palmer and Foden.

Angel Gomes has been dropped from his club side. And Wharton is only just coming back from a long injury lay off.

Curtis Jones is crazy under rated.

Curtis Jones does not start anywhere near regularly enough to justify inclusion over any of those others.

He is often played at either 10 or central and it really isn't clear which he is better at.

In either the 10 or in a central midfield pair with a back 3 behind them, I'm going with any of those ahead of Curtis Jones.

Has Henderson not been captaining Ajax?

Think he lost it (not sure if temporarily or permanently) when he was allegedly trying to move to Monaco in January.

Considering the season Forrest are having, Hudson-Odoi and Anderson can feel hard done by. Also, having Quansah instead of Branthwaite in there feels like an odd decision (unless he's injured and I've not seen that).

Add to that Morgan Gibbs White and Adam Wharton as well actually.

In the U21's. So is Wharton.

Jones has played 800 more minutes than Angel Gomes, for a better side in a tougher division.

I like Angel Gomes. But he's been benched for a 17-year-old. No issue with him being behind Curtis Jones atm.

I kinda like how Tuchel hasn't chosen kids to fill out the squad. Let the young boys play in the U21 and win. Let good seasoned pros like Dan Burn cheerlead from the sidelines.

There's usually about 3-4 players in a squad that have little chance of getting meaningful minutes. Let them be old boys.

Mental squad. So many daft picks.

It looks a bit of a mess. But, maybe he's using the first squad against a weaker opponent to test a few new options out - can't really criticise him for that. Obviously you can criticise him for Hendo because that's a mingin' decision on all levels but other than that, happy to wait and see.

Angel Gones has likely been benched because he hasn't signed a new contract and is leaving on a free in the summer.

Playing 800 more minutes does not make Jones a better or more useful player. You're fawning over him because he's at Liverpool. Once again you're on the hype train.

As the Jones fan that you are, you tell me what his stand out qualities are then?

Gallagher gives far more work rate, intensity, pressing and ball winning.

Gomes gives better composure on the ball, awareness, vision and passing both from deeper and forward areas.

Gibbs-White carries the ball better, passes better and hits the ball better from distance.

Wharton is far better setting the tempo and progressing the ball from back to front.

What is it Curtis Jones does at a high level exactly? That puts him ahead of those?
