Fantasy Premier League 2015/16 - B Barnes wins

Recommended Posts

In the middle of a fantasy draft. Any opinions on De Jong vs. Aarons? Would be my 5th midfielder. Not too many players left and feel like being a homer.

If it's just your 5th one then go Aarons, cheap and could turn out to be a real value pick.

I went for De Jong but I'm having second thoughts.

Money doesn't matter in this league. I'm very torn.

Having real trouble deciding this year. Of all the premium strikers, there's only Rooney who I really want and even that would change if they signed another striker. I can't be arsed with Costa's hamstrings, and Aguero is too much at £13m when he's had no pre-season. Giroud was going to be my second pick but he's not guaranteed to start now, which brings us to Benteke. A great goal today but I have no idea how he's going to fit in to their usual style. Who are the alternatives? Pelle or Lukaku I guess. Then there'll be one budget striker who will either be Wilson, Deeney or Defoe but they're all much of a muchness.

Same. Made my team last night and it looks awful looking at it now. Need to sort this shit out so I don't have to play a wildcard after 1 week like last season

Got Depay in atm but really would like to include Mata. I've got no idea what LvG will do with him considering he had him dropped for a large part of last season despite him being their best player by far.

£6m doesn't seem much of a bargain for a newly-promoted player personally. I've went for Francis at 4.5 on the back of what the Scout mentioned about his championship season.

Simon Francis – the Bournemouth defender has been very kindly priced at just 4.5 for the season ahead. With manager Eddie How affording his full-backs plenty of freedom to push forward, Francis’ understanding with Matt Ritchie down the right was key to the Cherries’ title triumph and saw him create 76 chances for his team-mates – more than any defender in the Championship. Given that Bournemouth mustered 19 clean sheets in 2014/15, Francis looks a real prospect at both ends of the pitch.

Rooney has to be a cert for all of you. He's back up front so 20+ guaranteed. Takes penalties, some frees too and gets a lot of assists as well.

Mine so far is:

Courtois, Hennessey

Mertesacker, O'Shea, Huth, Cedric, Targett

Hazard, Walcott, Chadli/Henderson, Ritchie, Fletcher

Aguero (when fit), Rooney, Deeney

Currently going with Ozil, Wijnaldum, Aarons, Depay and Hazard in midfield although i'll probably swap out Hazard for Sanchez when he's available and Ozil for Walcott/Sterling depending on what one starts the season better once i use the wildcard post transfer window.

Is Sanchez a midfielder in the PL game? Tasty.

Aye he's cheaper than Hazard as well  I kind of want Man Yoo to sign a striker and Kane to repeat last year's success as he's cheaper than Rooney.

But as of right now Rooney is who i'm going with.
