All it really means is that Ashley will get a fee for him.

He would've done anyway though...

I hear you guys, i'm just saying he's not going to say "no comment" or call him out. He's 24 fucking years old and he just signed a brand new contract and likely just shooting from the hip in his interview.

What's more likely? That he's shooting from the hip, or that he's been told to say it and he's agreed to say it, as per every other occasion that it's happened?

I don't fucking know, man. Not everything is conspiracy.

A conspiracy. There's 11 years of blatant evidence and ex-employees coming out and saying that's what happens.

Jesus, it's fairly obvious what I think of MA and his cronies, man, etc. I'm just saying, perhaps, today, maybe, my opinion, is that he wasn't fed this and literally was asked a question and said "he's a nice guy" shooting from the hip. lord, this message board.

I know and I was just asking you which one you thought was more likely, nothing more. You were the one that suggested it's a conspiracy ffs.

“Speaking honestly, and it might not be what everyone wants to hear, as a club I think it’s important everyone is together, especially when we’re right down at the bottom of the table,” said the Newcastle skipper.

“I think the meal was really positive, having a sit down meeting for the first time, hearing him (Ashley) speak and seeing what he’s like as a man. He’s a nice guy.

“I know fingers are being pointed at him, but I think it was a positive meeting and if it could happen more, I don’t think it would do any harm.

“If there are divides, I think it creates problems. If everyone in Newcastle stopped the negativity and tried to form a unity, that would help.

“When there are problems going on around off the pitch, it does have an effect on you as players. It would help if everyone came together and put all that bad energy into positive energy, helping us get three points. That’s what everybody wants.”

Easy for him to say.
