Heron Posted April 27, 2016 Share Posted April 27, 2016 Seriously mate, if you like a half decent pint and wanna be relatively near the ground, rather ironically go to The Hotspur. Nearly all the bars along Haymarket will be child friendly for the match and they're all relatively near the ground. Failing The Hotspur, The Strawberry would be a great shout. Perfect for football (albeit the toilets are minging) but it'll show your laddie what it means and what it's all about. You can tell him who the pictures are on the walls and show him some of our prouder moments. If you're travelling via train, maybe head across to Pink Lane (by Subway) and try The Forth, Tilleys and The Bodega. Not match bars but decent clientele and drinks. Slightly more expensive though.
