Paullow
I was debating going but didn't, half time at Ashington vs Heaton. Great crowd of 707. Currently 0-0 - wouldn't surprise me too much if this ended a draw...
Disco
Stan take it 0-1 and secure their place in the league next season. Cup final v Morpeth to come and round off another memorable season.
Pilko
Was at Ashington today for the Stan win, absolutely honking game of few chances but they saw it out well in the later stages. Great result.

Great result. Same here, was pretty shite. Good crowd there though and a decent following from the Stan. Well impressed with Ashington's facilities too. So pleased for them as it has been a massive step up, and they looked doomed at one point.

Yorkie
York City drop points and Barnet win so only a miracle means that'll be 2nd and 1st respectively. Will try and get to York's home semi... pity, as I would've very much liked to have rooted for Gateshead in the play-offs.
Paullow
Brighouse 2 Garforth 2 - means Ashington are staying up as well. Brighouse equalised in 90+1 against 10 men and there were 7 mins added, I was refreshing the NPL site for ages, but just finished a minute ago, so maybe had 10 mins injury time. If Brighouse had found a winner they would have been 2 points adrift with the bottom team to play on the final day and (out of form) Ashington would have likely had to have taken a point on the road, but they survive. Means there will definitely be 8 or 9 former Northern League sides in that league next year, depending on if Dunston or Newton Aycliffe get promoted in the playoffs. Dunston/Newton (or both), Blyth S, Bishop Auckland, Consett, Heaton, Ashington, Redcar, NL playoff winner. Those 3 deducted points came in very handy. 54
The National League South is genuinely insane. Going to have to go along to Truros final game on Saturday. Edit: Or not, it's all sold out already

Edit: Or not, it's all sold out already That is crazy. Worthing drop from 1st to 4th after a draw in GW45. Your boys are a home win away from the title, but if they lose (to someone who have to get something to stay up) then they could well not even have a play off semi spot, or not even a home playoff quarter final spot either. Not sure I've seen a league that tight at this stage.

Not sure I've seen a league that tight at this stage. It is ridiculous, I can't remember seeing a league that tight before, for Truro, even a win may not do it if Torquay batter Hemel Hempstead, who have nothing to play for and are on the beach, and I'm not sure if playing St Alban's is good or not, as they have to come out and try and play, given their situation, which could work to Truro's benefit. Either way, it's been a mammoth season for the club, it's the first season back in Truro in their new Stadium, and most projections had them mid-table at best, so to be in with a shot of winning the title is an outstanding achievement. Paullow Posted Friday at 20:23 Share Posted Friday at 20:23 Blue Star 2-0 up away at Boro Rangers in the play off semi final. If it stays the same, they'll play Shildon or Blyth Town in the semi final, the latter would be at home if they came through. 0-3 now, so that's done and dusted. OpenC Posted Saturday at 15:46 Share Posted Saturday at 15:46 Now the Northern League is finished I went to an Alliance ground I missed out on last season to watch Haltwhistle vs Percy Main. Entertaining enough if a bit short on quality. Percy Main look to have regressed a fair bit since I watched them last season, might have just been an off day but they're rock bottom of the division which tells its own story. Paullow Posted Saturday at 16:01 Share Posted Saturday at 16:01 After 4th placed Blue Star won away at the 3rd placed team yesterday, 5th placed Blyth Town have beaten 2nd placed Shildon, so it's Newcastle Blue Star at home to Blyth Town on Friday night for a place in the NPL East next season. Definitely be another Northumberland member in the 8th tier next season, and could well have a Blyth derby.

Paullow Posted Saturday at 16:25 Share Posted Saturday at 16:25 Not too much going on in terms of the NPL Premier and East on the final day for the local clubs. Stockton did win to pip Guiseley into 3rd place, so those sides face each other on Teesside on Tuesday night and not West Yorkshire in their playoff semi final. Dunston were guaranteed 2nd and a home path in the playoffs, but they lost today to a playoff chasing side, which wasn't great for Newton Aycliffe who finish 6th and miss out following a draw. Dunston play Emley, also on Tuesday night. Heaton and Ashington both ended their league campaigns with wins and they finish 12th and 16th respectively. Consett lost to Emley, which didn't also didn't help Newton Aycliffe.
Pokerprince2004 Posted Saturday at 16:53 Share Posted Saturday at 16:53 @Paullow Although I don't reply to anything in here often, thanks a lot for keeping non league results and tables constantly updated through the season. I always enjoy coming in here and reading how our local clubs are getting on and I'm sure a few others will too 👍 I saw Gateshead dropped out of the playoffs with 1 game to go which seemed inevitable considering how poor they've been last couple of months but the team that replaced them - Southend, are their opponents last game of the season at home so still in their hands. They've been so bad lately though that I don't expect them to win or do much in the playoffs if they can sneak in
