Paullow Posted Tuesday at 20:42 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:42 Stockton and Dunston both won 1-0 so progress to their respective finals. Dunston will be at home, Stockton away to Worksop who finished 2nd. Dunston scored deep into injury time.
Paullow Posted Tuesday at 20:43 Share Posted Tuesday at 20:43 I was/am tempted to go to the Blue Star match as well. Where is best to park?

I’ll have some time to kill Easiest way I can think off the top of me head is to head along past Scotswood bridge then cut back on yourself at the roundabout where b and q is then up the bank past where the club used to be and it's on the left. Pokerprince2004 Posted Tuesday at 23:10 Share Posted Tuesday at 23:10 I'd just get the number 1 bus to Slatyford from the college it literally drops you off outside Scotswood Sports Centre. Its a canny old walk from the college, I wouldn't fancy it as it'll take over an hour

Parking is always a struggle down there for run of the mill league games with a gate of 300 so it'll be really difficult on Friday night. There's a free car park outside Denton Burn library on the West Road, near the Denton pub. It's about 10 mins walk from there.

Just had a look and doesn't seem to be too many spaces. Do you know of any other secure car parks in and around the area for a back up, even if a 20 odd minute walk from the ground? PM
Last year for the playoff games they opened up the car park at Excelsior Academy just opposite the ground. Hopefully they do the same again.
Wallsendmag
Went the other week when they played Redcar. Crowd was 700 odd I think and I got parked up easily enough obviously the road that runs past the ground but probably going to be well over double that tomorrow. For people mentioning the number 1 bus is that the same number 1 (Stagecoach) that runs down Coach Lane/Benfield Road? Half tempted to go tomorrow and I can walk along to Coach Lane in 10 mins. Made the mistake of getting on it a few years ago instead of the usual Arriva or Go North East buses and it must have taken a good 45 mins to get into town that day and it's well past there. Pokerprince2004
If anyone does decide on getting the Number 1 just make sure it has 'Slatyford' on the front as some of them only go to Buddle Road and turn around there which still leaves a canny walk along Armstrong Road (It'll have 'Buddle Rd' on the front instead)
