We need to take this seriously.

No coincidence that our great run of form Oct/Nov coincided with a good cup run - lifts morale of fans.

I'm not sure we've got much option anyway. Half the squad is unavailable due to injuries or international duty.

Hairdara?

Injured apparently, in the first game with Birmingham.

Shame. Could do with him being a body for our cup run, doubt he'll be involved in the league. Wonder how long Gamez is out for

So much for our squad depth apparently.

Mbemba, Diame, Atsu on international duty,  Mitro, Aarons, Gamez, Anita, Hayden, Gayle inured, Gouffran and Haidara doubtful and Sammy and Sterry cuptied.  Dont think many clubs could cope with 11 possible 13 players being unavailable.  It's a sign of the depth we do have that we should still put out a competitive side out.

Reckon it'll be:

Sels; Yedlin, Lascelles, Hanley, Dummett; Shelvey, Colback; Ritchie, Perez, Lazaar; Murphy

Subs: Darlow, Clark, Gouffran, Tiote, Barlaser, El Mhanni, Heardman

It would help if we started with 11 players mind.

A goalkeeper would really help.

I think Scoot was attempting irony.

I can see Lascelles being rested, seems to be struggling a little.

Dropping out of our U23 lineup - and possibly providing some hints as to Wednesday's senior squad - were goalkeeper Rob Elliot, central defender Stuart Findlay, midfielders Dan Barlaser and Jamie Holmes, plus forward duo Luke Charman and Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.
