HawK
He must have a lot of positional sense off the ball that we don't get to see so much from the TV. He's doing something right, proper team player.

He's doing something right, proper team player. He's an odd one as he's an intelligent player who is prone to using his intelligence unintelligently. He second guesses and thinks himself into trouble. But with the right coaching and support he does far more good than bad. Geordie_once_removed
That he can play as a right back and left wing means I would keep him over Almiron. As much as I like them both, if we are to kick on next year they need to only be squad players and we don't need them both for that role.
CheikBoom Posted Wednesday at 20:18 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:18 Awful awful footballer. They’ve pressed us all game yet he requires 10 minutes to make a decision.
David Edgar Posted Wednesday at 20:23 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:23 Just not good enough for the level really. Needs to go.
Aiston Posted Wednesday at 20:48 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:48 Middle-Championship level at best, he is fucking awful.
Aiston Posted Wednesday at 21:24 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:24 Never seen passing so bad. 58.6% pass accuracy tonight, almost gave the ball to the opposition more than he did his own team.
johnny36 Posted Wednesday at 21:28 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:28 The thing is we know hes terrible but he still gets picked to start.. He will still be starting games next season.. Hes too weak, needs to bulk up or something
Kid Icarus Posted Wednesday at 21:32 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:32 (edited) Tbf to Murphy, he was targeted more than anyone in terms of pressing, without much support at all, and his options were often back down the line to a (being pressed) Krafth, or blindly inside hoping that Longstaff would be there. Smal Posted Wednesday at 21:34 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:34 Yeah, Gordon was playing very narrow and Murphy was picking the ball up in right back positions. He never had a passing option available to him apart from going back to Dubravka, which nobody wants to see.
huss9 Posted Wednesday at 21:37 Share Posted Wednesday at 21:37 its hard to look decent when there'e never a decent pass on or movement in front of you. especially when you're playing out of position

Capable of making the best ‘actual’ right back flounder.

He's 29 so way past the "bulk up" phase of his career.

Good round the dressing room though, just like Ritchie, Dummet and Krafth.
buzza Posted yesterday at 12:03 Share Posted yesterday at 12:03 Murphy, ritchie, dummet, krafth, targett, almiron and, at a shove, longstaff, will all need to be moved on sooner rather than later and replaced with much higher quality players. I genuinely feel for the lad, he was good enough in the Ashley era i.e. bottom third of the prem, but he is way no where near for where we want to be.
