Think I might prefer him at RB over RW. would be happy to see him there more

If Tino and Trippier are out, I'd pick him there over Krafth. Only problem is we might be Almiron down plus Gordon's injured so we might have to play him RW on Tuesday dur to no alternatives.

Murphy is similar to Almiron in that he can put a shift in and produce some good stuff but overall is below the standard required to be at the top.

Like Almiron it's hard not to like him so long as he isn't getting too many minutes at which point we'll start to be sick of the sight of him. For a current example see Sean Longstaff.

Annoys the fuck out of me when they cross straight to the keeper. I mean when they should be cutting it back to the penalty spot from the goal line. Murphy (not just him TBF) did it a few times v WHU.

Games in which Murphy has started this season:

Premier League:

(h) vs Aston Villa - won 5-1

(h) vs Crystal Palace - won 4-0

(a) vs Aston Villa - won 1-3

(h) vs Luton - drawn 4-4

(h) vs Wolves - won 3-0

(h) vs West Ham - won 4-3

FA Cup:

(a) vs Fulham - won 0-2

(a) vs Blackburn - won on pens

(a) vs Man City - lost 0-2 (played as a RWB)

League Cup:

(h) vs Man City - won 1-0

Champions League:

(a) vs Milan - drawn 0-0

So the record is that he's started 11 games, of which we've won 8, drawn two, and lost one (away at Man City where he played RWB).

Dunno how it's weird mind, I thought Murphy had a really good game.

Later part of the 1st half he lost his way a bit. Recovered well, tho, esp at RB

But he scored against Spurs then did that gormless smile so he's mint man.

But seriously, £5m back to Norwich in the summer please.

Really bad performance that. The problem when you have too many B-players in the side is they compound each other's shitness.

Terrible today but he's now started 13 games of which we've won 9, drawn 2, lost 1 this season. 6 wins, 2 draws and undefeated in the premier league.

He should be kept as a low cost back up option. Need one or two of them when spending money on legit stars.

Can be the emergency RB and back up RW for games which should be fine for another season.
