Inverted is fine but I’d prefer the new RW has a bit more to his game technically at the expense of the physical traits - unlikely we’ll be able to afford / attract both. Isak is crying out for someone who can get on the same wavelength as him and execute.

We need a left footer to play there someone who can cut inside and be much closer to Isak. As we've seen Isak is obviously going to struggle when isolated he isn't Big al. He is however a fantastic footballer who has shown over and over that he can not only run at defences he can also run in behind and link play. He's the truly modern complete forward and attacking wise Eddie has to absolutely create a system which plays to his strengths because tonight showed he's unplayable when we do.

How was what I said going over the top though, all I said was the bloke's shite, in other words not good enough. I even said I quite like him as a person (as I think he comes across well and he seems to put in a lot of effort).

 

We've had worse players than him, he wasn't that bad tonight but he's nowhere near good enough for where we want to be.

At least half our squad isn’t good enough for regular top 4/6 tbf. Plenty of bottom half Bruce-era players still remain and are playing well above themselves and have been since Howe turned up. They’ll be filtered out over time if we can actually spend the money we have.

Hes a canny lad and a good pro, of course he has limitations and our ambitions extend beyond those limitations.

He's a PL footballer who doesn't seem to be wanted by many PL clubs. He's had a few good moments for us, but when he gets played regularly his lack of genuine top class output brings us down. That said, if it wasn't for all this PSR bullshit, he would be a useful squad player. It's a shame that players like this are almost being forced out of their clubs when there is no need from a financial perspective.

Gave it away most of the times he touched the ball, and he wasn't even trying to do anything creative with it. Then that 2nd chance was an awful attempt.
