Menace
I'd rather play Mitro.
Guest reefatoon
Yeah, he had a poor game today mind, looked slow and off the pace all game. Wasn't the only one either mind, but having a striker that can finish is vital, and he isn't really looking like that is going to be a part of his game. afar
Just echoing what i was saying after the Stoke game and got chewed out for, he's a 5 million striker for a reason, a six goal a season front man. And you can see it clearly in the last couple of games, need to change it.
DJ_NUFC
At least Rafa was honest when his signing was announced. He said something along the lines of..."if a player can run, it's 5m, if he can score, it's 20m." He told us we signed someone who is just great at running. Guest reefatoon
He wasn't even great at that today either.
Dave
Had one chance and missed it badly. Added to the Stoke game and it's worth giving Mitrovic a go. Not sure there's much between them at present.
Mole_Toonfan
Gonna cost us all season the fact our first choice striker is a £5 million Stoke reject, unfortunately. Mike Ashley is a c***.  Pretty much. Cost us the game today certainly.  Like fuck did he, what cost us the game is not being able to create anything. As it has nearly every loss since Cabaye and Ben Arfa left. Don't get me wrong he wasn't very good but neither would any other striker, i hope people don't expect Gayle to change anything. Disco
He should be made to explain his miss to the injured veterans who might have had a bet on us imo.
afar
When you play with just one up front, that player needs to be banging them in, or creating chances for others, e's doing neither and offering little in the link up play to warrant his inclusion
sempuki
Back to the bench.

Gallowgate Toon
Joselu's link up before today has always looked very decent to me. He wasn't at it today, though.

Gallowgate Toon
As Perez is pretty much playing as a second striker and not a #10, I'd honestly look to try Gayle in the same system with Joselu in certain games. They could rotate between that second role accordingly.
ponsaelius
Might be overly negative but by the end of the season we'll be pissed off we spunked even £5 million on him IMO. A worse player than Mitrovic or Gayle.
Figures 1-0 Football
Think Gayle would have done better today but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Â Joselu gets into some great positions but has been let down by his finishing.

Guest firetotheworks
I still have hope for him tbh. Bad game though, no doubt about that. I'm in two minds about his missed chances being how it'll always be or whether him finishing them is just a matter of time. He still brings more than Gayle and Mitrovic at the moment. The College Dropout
If he's not linking up well he needs subbing before an hour imo. The other options are more likely to score from scraps.

Agree with that, although i'm not sure Mitrovic is a better finisher tbh. Both are bad regardless.
Klaus
I like this guy, but he is not a reliable finisher. Him and gayle could be canny, but sadly will never happen
toontownman
An easy in for mitro at the moment. That is saying something. We can't really afford to bench mitro to eat humble pie.
toontownman
Part of the problem is the fact there is nothing creative immediately behind him too.
