I know Brighton are excellent at replacing players, but to sell 2 of their best players in one window would be risky. Presumably at Brighton for another year with them being in Europe also it’s looking. Like you say it be very risky selling both. Would imagine the sharks are circling around their young forward and winger too.

The fact people are even bringing up Michael Owen in this discussion should be bannable. It’s absurd. I absolutely hate the guy, but even so it was not his fault we were a bad team. Nolan was disgraceful, Barton too, and Duff. He turned it round but Colo was absolutely awful that season as well. We were a terrible side. We would have went down with or without him. Unless the owner sells up. I’m sure you’re aware Brighton have a top secret analytics database which is how they’re able to keep signing class players at such a cheap price. Think Brentford are run in a similar fashion. Will be interesting to see how far they can go.

It’s ostensibly the same game. PSG’s issues are not in their attacking play. They’ll win the league again, as always. The fans can complain get another manager sacked and restart the process all over again. They went out in the QFs under Carlo, with Ibra probably playing his best football. It’s easy to pin it on Neymar/Mbappe/Messi/Veratti.

If that’s not effort, then fuck knows. Michael Owen had a decent record for us and he wasn’t playing for a team who were infinitely better than 95% of their opponents

Exactly, flair players always take the blame when a team underperforms, it’s standard. PSG are a mess for a lot of reasons, sacking Tuchel when he got them to a CL final

Like when Wenger first started at Arsenal with his healthy fitness regimes and then everyone caught up eventually I guess with the PL riches they'll always be able to attract players from South America, the low countries etc. But might be harder for them now that agents know how good their scouting is they can get more clubs to start a bidding war

Sempiternal
May as well rescind all Haaland's goals outside the top 6, his bundesliga goals, lewandowski's at bayern, if thats the criteria.

Michael Owen isn’t even on the same planet as Messi. It’s obvious to anyone with a brain they’ve suspended him out of pettiness as he wants to leave He’s playing in a stacked team against in most cases majorly over matched opponents. Those stats aren’t as great as you think they are. We aren’t talking about who was a better player. PSG are far further ahead as a club than we were in 2005 as well, why don’t you point that out as well The parallels are obvious to ‘anyone with a brain’ big reputation player, still pretty good if not at their best and doesn’t seem to want to be there. Add to that a clear priority for International football over the club paying his wages ?♂️ Hes fucked off multiple times while he’s been there and gone AWOL now and you are blaming the club. You Messi dick suckers are something else. Mature. Every single great player, plays on the best teams, really shocking stuff. Most of those teams are far more stacked than the others, also very shocking. So are we taking away people’s stats for that now? Benzema? Ronaldo? The comparison is ridiculous, and made even more ridiculous by the fact Owen had fuck all to with us going down, we all hate him, and that’s fine, but it was not solely on his shoulders. Nolan being more interested in drinking than actually being arsed to put effort on the pitch certainly didn’t help. If he hadn’t scored you’d be saying “fraud he’s finished/he can’t be Arsed” it’s ridiculous logic

It’s not about rescinding goals. You and the other Messi fan boy are putting stats without context to defend your position that Messi has consistently put effort in at PSG and hasn’t fucked them about like Owen did to us. For the record on Haaland vs the rest of the sky 6 and us/Brighton he’s 9 in 12 that I can find (don’t know if he even played in all the games) As for Lewandowski in his last 3 years at Bayern from what I can find he played in 10 games vs super league sides/PSG and scored
