It’s almost as if he was trying convince himself it was. Even you said you weren’t sure, so you wouldn’t have given it then? Cant just guess at these things. RIP football more like. That's a bit dramatic. The system isn't perfect but its an improvement and it'll be tweaked with time. As for this decision, it's not a clear handball, therefore its not an obvious error and shouldn't have been overturned. This decision was originally handball/penalty. It was very clearly and obviously not handball, and therefore should have been overturned. I definitely agree with the "convincing himself" - no doubt knowing his original call was wrong, and wondering how to shoehorn reality into his own narrative.
