vic Posted Thursday at 18:18 Share Posted Thursday at 18:18 Pope seems to have a problem with his positioning in his goal ,3 times in the last 2 games he was way too far to one side.

NEEJ Posted Friday at 07:43 Share Posted Friday at 07:43 I mean, there's a quick and easy solution to this issue if Eddie wants it. Dubs in for Brighton, then retains his place for West Ham.

Dubs in for Brighton, then retains his place for West Ham. Howe actually dropped Trippier after his very poor City performance, something that he wouldn't have done at one time. He also dropped Botman after a poorish game against Bournemouth. You may have your favourite players (as does every manager), but they shouldn't be selected if not in form. I will await until we have Isak, Botman and Joelington in place as they are absolutely key to the way we play. I'm confident there will be a big upturn to form, however if not, we will probably have lost out on two cups and in a precarious position for any form of European football. The first signs were there against Wolves, but since then we look more like a team in the bottom half, than a team in 6th position. A massive 4-6 weeks coming up. Paully Posted Friday at 13:01 Share Posted Friday at 13:01 He’ll start Sunday and as long as he doesn’t drop a clanger, I think he’ll stay in nets after Pope’s last two displays

The Prophet Posted Friday at 22:14 Share Posted Friday at 22:14 I'd wager Pope will start on Sunday. I think it was last week Eddie suggested he needs game time before the final.

Two fuckin games! He's been nothing short of excellent until his last injury. Give the lad a break. Christ, Bruno can be shite for a massive run of games but he gets a free pass. Two fuckin games! Give the lad a break and show some faith. Eddie definitely will.

Justdoesit Posted Friday at 23:12 Share Posted Friday at 23:12 I don't want to get involved, and know none of you - but I think Dub has proven himself this season, and our shot to goal ratio has plummeted. Take it to PM.

Hanshithispantz Posted Saturday at 06:59 Share Posted Saturday at 06:59 (edited) I find the way people talk about Pope bizarre, like he's some mythical shot stopper. He was great for a long time with us but for whatever reason (possibly his injury) he's become prone to a clanger and outside of coming off his line every fault you can lay on Dubravka you can pretty much lay on Pope. Dubravka never deserved to be dropped and it obviously looks bad when Pope comes straight in and looks shite. I'm not against Pope like, just don't think he's the clear number 1 anymore. David Edgar Posted Saturday at 07:22 Share Posted Saturday at 07:22 Dubravka isn't good enough to be a first choice goalkeeper for a serious Premier League team. Pope was, but has gone off a cliff.

Seems like Dubrakva probably wants more playing time so could still go to Saudi in the summer.

He's been poor this season, massively error prone and his shot stopping isn't what it was as well as constantly putting us under pressure with his terrible kicking. Dubravka has been better for us this season than Pope has. Edited Saturday at 08:50 by Aiston
