MOTD put up an explanation of the new handball rule;

Law 12 Handball offence if a player gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm...

LaPorte never gained possession or control.

There’s a bit about a goal resulting from a touch on a hand. TBH I assumed it meant the goalscorer himself though, not anyone in the build up.

It is an offence if a player:

-deliberately touches the ball with their hand/arm, including moving the hand/arm towards the ball

-gains possession/control of the ball after it has touched their hand/arm and then:

-scores in the opponents’ goal

-creates a goal-scoring opportunity

-scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/arm, even if accidental, including by the goalkeeper

He didn't deliberately handle the ball, and everything aftr 'and then' is irrelevant.

Benteke is still just 28 years old. Surely, if he avoids injury he'll start scoring again at some point?

Just needs to get one and I think he'll re-discover his form if he continues starting games.

I just can't forget how good he was at one point.

Also, this Palace team has players that can create opportunities, in Townsend, Zaha and maybe even Meyers as he gets more comfortable.

This Sheffield United team is playing the exact same system we do, and it looks far more organised and well drilled.

Their two strikers are also playing as a proper partnership with a good amount of support joining from midfield and wing-back.

Well coached side too many Championship level players though.

It’ll be remarkable if Chris Wilder keeps them up.

Well, they're much better than us.

Just scored a good goal after some good build up play.

They are playing some decent stuff. Their two centre backs on the sides really push up and get involved high up the pitch, it's a really interesting setup.
