Unbelievable
Think I’d prefer the Mexican lot tbh Carlos Slim wouldn’t have had to pay in installments was told it was only £100m up front. That’s like Carlos Slim’s children’s monthly allowance
LV
can't says where this is from, but - bid is real, proof of funds in place, ashley happy with deal. the hold up is with the premier league - they are investigating the source of the money, and also the family links to man city's owner. I want to believe. Hope you’re source is a good one!

timeEd32
I thought the Bin Zayed group had no relation to Mansour and it was the other guy the media was mistaking him for?
ToonArmy1892
Basically they are just going through the test then
gdm
I thought the Bin Zayed group had no relation to Mansour and it was the other guy the media was mistaking him for? The latest was he is a very distant cousin and his grandfather apparently murdered sheik mansour’s grandfather who were brothers
Guest godzilla
A bit worried about how close is the family with City owners. They're that close that the Granfather allegedly committed murder. They are pretty distant relatives and would have thought they have very little to do with each other. As for the money the Premier League accepted the likes of Abramovich and the Man City owner ok. The group know what the requirements are for passing the test and I wouldn't have thought they would have even bothered trying to buy the club if there was any problems in passing it. STM
You just know the PL tests are more stringent for us. Its us. Anyway, I've missed this craic about the signs? Are they just down for cleaning?
Guest godzilla
A bit worried about how close is the family with City owners. The Premier League can f*** off if they kibosh this due to some distant links to the Man City lot. I think if they did they would possibly be fighting a hefty legal case. Tiresias
Investigating does not mean stopping it, I'm amused that due diligence actually happens more than anything but they should check, in case Mansour is just buying everyone with a bunch of convincing pseudonyms

TBG
We're probably just busy being inducted into the top 4 club. Probably currently sacrificing a ball boy to the Mike Dean.
YankeeToon
They're probably just going to want some token assurances that we're not being bought to serve as a feeder club for City. Note that they don't actually care whether or not that's true, they just want to go through the motions of 'protecting the integrity of the league.' STM
As long as there is no conflict of interest, on the footballing side or Bin Zayed doesn't owe Mansour a couple of billion quid, he should be ok.

With Rafa in charge there will be zero conflict of interest and in any case why can't the Man City owners sell up ? they've had their fun.

mattypnufc
Chron saying Charnley attended the AGM insisting it's business as usual, as he would I suppose... Of course he would, Ashley still owns the club. Prospective owners aren’t going to be getting into an AGM unless it’s already changed hands, and it hasn’t.
