Thomson Mouse
Apologies for the generalisation but my personal experience is that recruiters are the biggest bullshitters I deal with in business Pretty fair generalisation Thought showers was another, now thankfully defunct corporate bullshit phrase. We always used to print out these (bit old now but you get the meaning) and play bullshit bingo in the opening plenary session with the GM at conference, until some knackered decided to jump up and shout ‘house’. http://i.imgur.com/CqhrV21.jpg Take Ownership 'Raise it up the flagpole and see who salutes' is my personal favourite Sounds like porn bingo Reach Out and touch base. I feel my blood pressure increase every time I hear it! Just means they either can’t answer the question or the people in the room won’t like the answer. Gallowgate Toon
My current workplace love to say 'offline' and 'pre-download your thoughts'. I actually have shuddered at the last one Back in wanky agency land, everyone called the product environment 'world'. Even worse, I've found people genuinely make a living & good wage spouting off this shit.
LV
Does Odin have credibility? I mean, sorry to be talking so openly about you Odin but your info is so good that I need to know that your not just a WUM. And Greg, he's a mod, surely he wouldnt put his neck on the line? (Unless he was guessing) All seems to good to be true. I'm severely hoping for a major scoop from someone like Caulkin, an exclusive interview confirming it or whatever. As far goes Pinsent yes, I moonlight as a recruiter for high level positions. Legal is one of the areas I dabble in along with Localization and Digital. I’ve pinched a few for them (Pinsent Masons) in the last 2 years. Especially when they were setting up a new Dublin office. I didn’t post all day yesterday as am on holidays in Italy right now but when I saw all the news yesterday evening I reached out to my guy and he was aware of it so I didn’t need to fish too much for the info. The takeover is a formality at this stage I’ve been told. Pinsent have a big team working on this, I assume Ashley does too with his lawyers so it’ll get trashed out in due course. The main thing now is for BZG to move funds into a holding account controlled by the law firm. He doesn’t know for sure as he’s not working directly on this but he says deals of this size are usually done in instalments over the course of a few weeks and if the club has been broken up into smaller pieces like it has, each transaction will be a tranch of parts of the club, until it’s all transferred over in full. Well one things for sure you’re definitely moving in corporate circles, with the ‘reaching out’ stuff Want to punch people at work when they say that. With you on this one. As well as stuff like ‘deep dive’ and ‘helicopter view’
Chris_R
Do these things get announced on Sundays? Depends which side announces it. Sunday is a normal working day in the middle-east, they work Sunday-Thursday with Friday and Saturday as their weekend.

LV
could be announced today or tomorow from our side as that pl meeting is taking place today how do you know about the meeting? i read about it last week, annual pl meeting which all clubs must attend, also any club changing ownership has to inform other clubs at the meeting, reasons to me are unknown ,im not one for digging the ins n outs Surely that cant be right. If you intend to sell the club its no business of any other clubs until its done. If that's true, I find it a bizarre requirement just what i read, should have saved the link really I read this too Marki, a few days ago. But can’t remember where either. Could have been a media report though so quite possibly absolute bullocks. Edit: yeah, bullocks

Super Duper Branko Strupar
Im amazed anyone expects or has expected any info to come out of many sources on twitter or local journos. Have you seen twitter and read local papers? 99.99% of both of them are tripe. Everyday. Theres going to be a handful of people in the entire world know any details about any if this at this stage and before. Thats not going to be anyone covering local football until a late stage when more info is released or one person who gets some insider knowledge. Of course they aint getting any inside stories. They were never and are never likely to.

If that's true, I find it a bizarre requirement just what i read, should have saved the link really With the Premier League's AGM used to discuss the future direction of the top flight and to debate crucial issues affecting all 20 clubs, Charnley's fellow chief executives will press for an update from the United MD. The Premier League prefers decisions to be make unanimously, and so the other teams will want to know if Newcastle are set for a change of ownership, or whether the current hierarchy will remain in place for the medium term. (CW) So another Chronicle report ;D and nothing actualy in writing from the Premier League. I very much doubt if they have to.

Some of the utter dribble that's published (& often chronicled on here) begs belief. Someone posted this earlier, but I`m convinced forums like these are one their main sources of info. Either way, I totally agree with the sentiment that we`ll just hear an announcement out the blue & if it wasn't for the lad who scooped the company reg. yesterday we`d still be totally in the dark. Guest godzilla
Totally different that deal had nothing to do with NUFC and was stated at the time. Further proven that the company has continued to trade and is actually showing as a profit in its lastest accounts.
