TRon Posted February 22, 2020 Share Posted February 22, 2020 We miss Shelvey a lot. You're right, but urgh. We only miss him because Bruce can't get Schar and Lejeune playing in the same team though. Not like we missed him the back end of last season. We just miss having a midfield with a semblance of quality and confidence. Bentaleb is nowhere the pace, or maybe he's just always this nonchalant, and Sean is just lost out there. Shelvey for all his pitfalls at least makes you feel confident of making something happen when he's on the ball. The problem with all three of them is that they simply don't cover enough ground. We cannot know if he has permanently dropped or if he will regain previous form, but it is idiocy and malpractice to just play him in every match.
