Dyeyzzon
The thing is, those around us are at least having the occasional barnstormer. We're just on a straight downhill spiral, with hardly any positives to get from each game.

afar
Need a thread for Who will stay after relegation. First candidate, Shola ameobi. Just about to say that, for those that leave I would have zero resentment towards them, unlike the last time with Messrs Given, Bassong, duff and ilk. HBA, Cabaye, Krul et al are way too good to be playing the likes of scunthorpe united week in week out. Debuchy, Taylor, willo, perch, rTaylor, bigi, Harper, shola, the obvious ones will stay, Jonas too unless someone is stupid enough to buy him from us. We will have no problem selling the bulk of the squad, because it is too good to be in a relegation battle, which we will lose, all thanks to our incompetent manager. hithere
You'll stay up At the minute you're very bad. I've seen it a few times. The inability of a manager to defend a result. The utter lack of ambition on the pitch. The unwillingness of players to move for one another. That said there's too much shite in this division. QPR have too far to go. Southampton will go now after sacking Adkins imo. Which leaves yourselves, Reading, Wigan and Villa. I think you have more than those three... Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse, Coloccini, Krul etc I know its a cliché but they're too good to go down...

Mick
This is your problem. He has to go and he has to go now. It's the only way I can see us staying up, the players need the lift that they would get from a new manager coming in who wasn't negative like Pardew is. Varadi
The main positive from yesterday was seeing how s**** Reading were - think they're nailed on to go down. QPR have improved under Ballface but still only have 11 points in his 11 games - with only 15 points and really tough fixtures to come it's not going to be enough. There's a good chance Southampton will slump without Adkins and Wigan have 1 win in 10 and look terrible. Looks like 35 points will be enough to stay up and I think the extra quality that us and Villa have will edge us both clear. Going to be horribly tense though and we desperately need a win, any win, very soon. I reserve the right to change this prediction if HBA breaks down again on his return..... Minhosa
If we go down, the squad will be absolutely decimated. I absolutely fear what will happen to the likes of Cabaye, Santon, Anita, Krul, Marv etc. How many of them would stay?
Jill
I'm beginning to feel like we're doomed. I enjoyed the Championship last time round, but think it'd be a very different experience this time.
Minhosa
I'm beginning to feel like we're doomed. I enjoyed the Championship last time round, but think it'd be a very different experience this time. Agree on both counts. The stars have seemingly aligned to fuck us over with Europa, last summer, Ba, Colo, Remy etc etc. We don't have the character in the squad that we had last time either.
