Lots of twisting of what she said.

She actually said that there wouldn’t be any unnecessary revaluation of existing owners, and heavily indicated that everything would be more focussed on new owners. She also said that the government are not looking to outright ban anyone from owning club (I.E. state ownership) and there is no indication that the regulator would deviate from both the Premier Leagues, or EFL’s directors and owners test.

She basically said that the government is open for business, in fact they even discussed the possibility of other states and Middle Eastern states buying clubs in the future, with name checks for Qatar, and Kuwait.

So they've already started backtracking on it [emoji38]

Exactly, I’m sure Starmer who’s just been begging him for trade will put her straight, not sure what’s worse to be honest corrupt fuckers at the PL, or incompetent, hypocritical politicians making the rules.

Nothing needed to do to keep her straight.

She was answering in a way to tell the Lords ‘Yeah, I hear you, but you’re going too far, and this isn’t what the government wants’.

I trust stiffy on this. He sat through the whole hearing and the parts I saw did mirror what he's saying.

Just another twist in the papers to try and unsettle us.

WTF

It is believed to be a financial processing issue at ownership level — rather than cash flow or a bigger complication — and has not impacted regular wages.

It’s not even a story if that’s the case, happens all the time

TBF nobody knows the terms of these contracts, it might just be CEO accountancy, the guy who I work for always waits until the last second to pay any creditors, even the milkman and window cleaner.

I mean Ornstein is ligit. Hopefully it doesn’t mean much but doesn’t sound great.

He even admits that it’s normal practice to be paid late, and most if not all agents have been paid.

He’s just there with Ben Jacobs, and Migual Delany at throwing negatives about us.

It would be difficult for him not to put out this article, presuming the agents that are moaning are also the same agents that feed him exclusives on transfers.

I think were it not for it being Ornstein I’d write this off as shit stirring but given his credibility it doesn’t reflect well on us.

Hopefully it’s nothing and just some accounting procedures.

Fuck agents though, they’re such a scourge.

Still love how anything slightly negative towards our owners is instantly dismissed as negative shit stirring. Regardless of how anyone feels about agents, this isn’t a great look, especially ahead of a transfer window.

I agree. I've got no time for agents whatsoever and I have no issue with the club playing hardball during the negotiation phase but not paying what has been agreed makes us look either dishonest or incompetent neither of which I want people to associate with NUFC now.

It also supports the narrative that PIF are either losing interest or are going to take an age processing even basic day-to-day tasks, never mind huge projects like training grounds and stadiums.
