huss9 Posted Wednesday at 23:53 Share Posted Wednesday at 23:53 as much as i adore KK, King Eddie seems to be cut from a different cloth. less emotional and cold as fuck.
The Butcher Posted yesterday at 00:38 Share Posted yesterday at 00:38 Eddie won a trophy. Keegan and Bobby both had brilliant sides, but Wor Eddie won that trophy. He's number 1.
Zero Posted yesterday at 01:18 Share Posted yesterday at 01:18 Kevin and Sir Bobby are close but breaking the 70 years curse is something else. Howe is no.1.
nufcjb Posted yesterday at 01:31 Share Posted yesterday at 01:31 (edited) Also, trophy aside, he saved us from relegation under new owners. People can say he had money to do that, but buying the right players and using them correctly is what sets Eddie apart. Signing Trippier, Bruno, Wood, Burn and Targett. Could have been Mbabape and we get relegated. He got us safe. No.1 for me. Edited yesterday at 01:33 by nufcjb

TheBrownBottle Posted yesterday at 01:58 Share Posted yesterday at 01:58 Just my view, but when Howe eventually leaves there should be a statue in his honour. KK should have a stand named after him.

I ask because I started following the team in the late 90's or so.

I ask because I started following the team in the late 90's or so. I didn’t think you were - it was just a general view. I think Howe is a better manager than KK, though. 1991/92 - funny thing is, there was genuine talent in that side, but they couldn’t defend for toffee. We stayed up last day of the season - the last two games (vs Portsmouth at home, vs Leicester away) were ridiculously dramatic

SBR got the freedom, plus got a statue Shearer ditto Howe has got the freedom Keegan should be immortalised somewhere, in his lifetime. Everyone knows the club wouldn't exist in its current format without Keegan putting it back on the map Nottingham Forest have got a statue, a road, and a stand - obviously he is the stand out legend that put the club on the map. Keegan may not have won the trophies but should get a stand at the very least - perhaps in the new stadium.

Robster
13 hours ago, TheBrownBottle said: The club doesn't exist without Keegan KK remains no.1 It's really difficult to quantify unless you were lucky enough to live through the Keegan years. We were absolutely in the doldrums and heading into oblivion. The Ashley years were truly awful but there was something, even just the tiniest scrap of a football club to work with after he left. Keegan had next to nothing. KK will always be my number 1 and yes, I accept that is a very emotional thing because of what those years were like. (this is in no way belittling Eddie who I completely love too. But even if just by the tiniest fraction, KK is just ahead of him)

Superior Acuña
Look at this graph and find where Keegan came in. Trophy’s are big but not the only measure- he is of huge importance.
