Said it before, they’re all completely dependent on Howe for relevance. So myopic and cynical. Remember the lot of them palling up to him in the press conference after CL was achieved.

I guess I need to watch the press conference. Iike I said before, just feel like regardless if the journalists are making a meal out of this, it’s a completely unnecessary thing the club have gotten themselves into.
 

Howe joined us before Mitchell, Eales and Bunce. Howe has given practically his life to this job, Howe has given the fans belief, Howe attacks every match with the goal of winning, and Howe respects the supporters and is a class act on and off the football field. I’m backing him over any suit who thinks they know any better.

I think that’s pretty obvious that after the summer window, Mitchell got the V for the transfer power. So the implication of “no contact” should be now Mitchell doesn’t need or want to discuss with Howe for future transfers / squad planning 

 

Which is what Howe dislike most. We all know that.

I just hope Mitchell doesn't focus his transfers on what the club needs in two or three years rather than what Eddie needs now !! I reckon Howe would leave if Mitchell had total control.

Either way, all this talk around scouts and transfer policy and Howe etc. Should only fire the players up more. I know if I was Bruno or Burn or any of the others I'd be celebrating with the manager if we get ahead this weekend and absolutely nailing my colours to the mast for him.

I watched it, finally. I’m less concerned about fall out and will remain cautious. He actually looked as relaxed as i have seen him in a while. 
 

I do not trust Mitchell at this point though. He has to earn it and show us he’s taking this club forward. His resume speaks for itself but at this point all we know is he failed to get Guehi done despite meeting with Parish in person and telling Howe he’s got it.

Yet more evidence that doesn't help the narrative that he's too loyal to limited players. He's obviously not stupid and must know Tonali and Barnes are better than Sean and Murphy. The "they were at the training ground for internationals" narrative doesn't wash either because Hall and Livramento are playing ahead of two who stayed behind & Barnes wasn't away either.

 

Feels like he isn't learning after he stuck with Dubravka til he basically cost us a European spot at Old Trafford last year despite Pope being on the bench for several weeks and then playing days later.

 

I like Murph and Sean but not as first picks. We've got better players, get them on the fucking pitch.

 

The weird thing is, I'm confident Eddie makes changes and we get at least a draw - so why make it so hard for ourselves to begin with? Don't get it.

Poor choice of team today could have had Wolves buried by now with Barnes and Tonali.

The more intense the opinion of the fans the more stubborn Howe becomes to prove he is right....buck stops with him for picking two second rate over two blue chip players
