Don't think he's sacked during season, but decisions will be made that he's off end of season unless he plucks a cup out of his ass.

I'd want us to try and get a top name if we mean business. Inzaghi would be my dream.

Southgate... 🤣

Don't want him sacked at all like a few others.

That will change if he continues to prove he cannot adapt anything/ be proactive or motivate the team.

I have had this view all season and for last season, when some didn’t buy the injuries excuse.

He just isn’t showing anything that makes me think he can turn it around, though. Played what, 18 games league and cup? Nearly halfway through the season. Mostly been uninspiring or crap

performances and looked a shadow of our former selves.

We never seem to be able to find consistency or play two halves remotely the same. We now have a strong bench. But usually look worse once subs are made. Forest, Wolves and Bournemouth being the main ones that stand out in my mind as actually working or improving our chances.

Too many players look out of form and all. It isn’t a coincidence IMO. I don’t see why so many players would be below their levels all at the same time/all season.

Howe 'Defensively not strong enough - collective mistakes. Fought back well to 2-2 twice. Moments of good play in first half - conceed 4 goals and it's a negative performance in the end. Lack of consistency in 2nd half. Liverpool game took something out of the team - looked tired in certain positions. Players returning to fitness not 100% ready to play/ Gone from not scoring goals a few weeks ago, to not defending well. Confusing and needs to work out why',

The inconsistency at both ends of the pitch speaks to a wider issue with the balance of the team and the formation we're playing. If we sit back to much, Isak is isolated but the defense improves through force of numbers. If we push on too much, we get caught.

I always think goal difference is a relatively reliable barometer of where a club should be after a sizeable number of games. I'm pretty sure ours is 13th best in the league right now.

Didn't see today (or Wednesday) but if it was as abject as West Ham then you do fear for him a bit. Two performances in such quick succession where we've completely lost the plot indicates a pretty serious problem.

Personally hope he's afforded a length of time uncharacteristic to the modern game in order to get it right.

2nd half was worse than West Ham

First half was brilliant for

the most part. Second half was very similar to West Ham. Fuck all in the way of chances, team went to shit after a goal and the changes we made.

Nowhere near as woeful as Palace and we got a point there. But I’ve seen that second half one too many times now.

Attacking wise sure, but awful defensively. Second half we were awful in both ends.

Think he will be giving time because of the CEO situation and us likely going to SF of League Cup. Can't change a manager when direction isn't fully there at the highest level, but for him to stay for 25/26, he needs to hit some serious run in new year where the issues look to be fixed.

Based on past 12 months, that's highly unlikely as the same issues are still clearly there.

He's not leaving Inter for us.

At the start of the season it felt like the beginning of the end.

Think we’re now in a position where it’s nearing end of the end.

He’s just got too many flaws and don’t think we have time for him to learn on the job.

Not going to be great for PSR if we have to give Eddie a big lumper, but think that time is coming, the league position is simply unacceptable considering the money we’ve spent and players he has available.

Fair comment re availability but re the bit in bold; we spent fuck all this year which totally undermines earlier investment.

I'd probably keep him until the end of the season (unless we're in a relegation fight), but I wouldn't be allowing him any say on transfers. I'd also be moving on some of his favourites who he has far too much faith in. It's totally undermining his postion, and probably kinder to sack him, but I'd be hoping he sees the limitations in himself and the new players show him something different. If he doesn't, then he's not the right man and the summer we part ways.

Whatever happens, he doesn't get to oversee a 3rd season of shite. He's now been either average or below for as long as he's been brilliant.

I think sadly he’s running out of or run out of ideas. There are other factors involved and I worry how much a new manager is going to be able to do with PSR restrictions but some fresh ideas and a bit of a reboot is probably on its way at some point this season.

Yeah I think he’ll get the season and they’ll source a new manager properly rather than someone earlier e.g next month

Wonder who would be on the realistic shortlist.
