Toon No9
Don't think we're gonna get a world class manager at this point. Our squad is too poor, bad position in the league and awfull training facilities. Important to get a manager in now who can organise the team. Someone who is tactically good. A manager who can save us this season and start building a team for the future. I mean just look at Frank at Brentford, Potter at Brighton, what Howe did at Bournemouth(before relegation) and so on... Doesn't have to be a big name to get us to the next level. Must be many like thoose out there. Maybe someone like Kasper Hjulmand, who is doing great with the danish national team? They are well organised and play attacking football. I don't even dislike Lampard as much as some on here, but it would be such a poor appointment in the circumstances. We'd be in big trouble I think. Yeah could easily take us down, he's not going to have Chelsea's superstars to work with here. Can't see him getting much of a tune out of Ritchie or Hendrick. BennyBlanco
Give Everton a blank cheque for Rafa and just have done with it man. No pissing about.
the fella
Challenging for top 6 spots and trophies is a long term aim, probably a three stage process. Stage 1 is staying up this season and people like Potter can do that. Get Jose at stage 3 when we consolidate to a top 7 team.
andyc35i
I’d go for Steven Gerrard right now because that’s the only realistic option given our terrible form and league position
sempuki
Emery would do me. Unai or Dick. Anyone but Bruce.
TRon
Whoever comes in has a massive job on his hands. These players look like they've been on holiday since May. With the fixture list we've got coming up, could be January before we start seeing any upturn in results.

Ashley and Bruce have left us in a position where I don't think we will get a manager of the level required, and I'm not convinced players of any quality will come either if our position doesn't improve come January. I know anyone is an improvement on Bruce, but does anyone really think the likes of Emery will be enticed by our current position. I really hope we're both wrong. papo
What’s the deal with Fonseca? Good spell in Ukraine and a half decent one with Roma. Could he get us out of this mess quickly? I would’ve liked proven PL managers like Sarri or Nuno here for a short-medium term and of course wor Rafa (of course all of them moved in the summer.) Joe Nelson
Cosmin Contra. He fits the bill in some weird ways but only interim obviously. Edited October 17, 2021 by Joe Nelson

et tu brute
Just now, SUPERTOON said: Don’t think Howe is the answer, lots of money going on him currently I agree and you can add Lampard to that also. I think it will possibly be either Martinez or Gerrard (outside shot Potter), which I don't think are the best fit either. All better than Bruce and under Ashley I would have probably said fine with any of the four (Potter I'm so so on, but better options than the others I have named). Diferent proposition now, hopefully the full project can be fully demonstrated and the money available may get us a manager to take us forward the next three years.
