Eddie Howe

We’ll probably still lose because they are great, but we’ve put the ball in their net three times with quick counter attacks. First time balls over the top were clearly a strategy.

Inches away from taking a point in a game we were written off in. Got it right today imo, hit them brilliantly on the counter and never looked out of it. City just have too much quality, one of the best midfielders in the world off the bench made the difference.

Howe will set us back on course after January, and this shows we shouldn't rule out getting anything against Villa or even at Anfield

We stopped that for the 2nd half for absolutely no reason though.

2nd half was a disaster.

We deserved a point there today. Really unlucky, had them rattled but undone by a world class player bailing them out.

They completely dominated us for 70 minutes, we deserved to lose and we did.

I know he's good but he's not that good.

He has to find a system that can manage that space between the defense and midfield better. It’s so easy to bypass our midfield into that little pocket. This was an issue before the injuries and fatigue as well.

He needs to find the answers to this tactical issue.

No reason? Maybe our only striker ran out of legs?

Seemed pretty clear why we weren't as effective as the game wore on.

The answer is 4-1-3-2 and he doesn’t see it.
