Our style of play is so enjoyable too when we're at it.

Love how much more dynamic it is and how much more it looks to exploit space in behind, than the ultra control style.

Mixed it up today and Spurs had no answers to solving the problem, can't think of a single player who wasn't well drilled, it was obviously the culmination of a solid week on the training ground, brilliant management and it worked a charm. We looked sharp, busy and were snapping into tackles again which was lovely to see. Brilliant, dominant performance from start to finish and Howe get a shitload of credit for that, really enjoyed that :)

As Leffe said, sitting back and hitting on the break is the best way to play against Spurs, but thought he set everything up bang on today. Absolute masterclass.

Players unavailable, a flipping decent Premier league 11 this:

OUT:

Nick Pope

Kieran Trippier

Jamal Lascelles

Sven Botman

Matt Targett

Lewis Miley

Sandro Tonali

Joelinton

Joe Willock

Miguel Almiron

Callum Wilson

Thats a damn decent side, and would finish mid table at least I think, and their all unavailable for us.

And he delivers that, amazing really - thank you Eddie and team :smitten:

It is unbelievable that we are still an outside chance to finish 4th, with all the injuries we were diabolical at the back.

This game and over the last few weeks he has got the setup absolutely spot on. It was obvious that we were being exposed at the back to a fast break. (tear your hair out stuff yelling at BDB)

That has been corrected and we are now solid at the back and still look dangerous going forward.

He is showing what a great manager he is. When things get tough he makes and trains the new system into the team.

We might easily have overachieved had it not been for the injuries or even just a average amount of them.

I'd stop doubting a bloke that proved me wrong after every tricky patch he's gone through but that's just me. No doubt the cycle will repeat next time we don't win.

Outstanding performance today. Solid defensively, pressed well in attack and aggressive all over the pitch.

We need to keep this up with the run of games we have but no reason why we can’t.

Been such a weird season.

I'm looking at stats. The ones I'm looking at have us making the most clear cut chances in the whole league. 2nd most clean sheets in the league after Arsenal. Suggests we've been doing a lot right at both ends.

And yet for large stretches of the season we looked really poor and flimsy. But you've got to say we have had extreme extenuating circumstances with injuries.

I'd say the biggest introspection needed for Howe is whether he has contributed to exacerbating the injury crisis. Be that on the training ground, through selections, through tactics etc. I know at Bournemouth they had similar injury crises.

Of course, just like last season, it would NOT have been "over" achieved . . . other than to the Southern English based 'pretend-national' Media of course, that some appear to get brainwashed by.

Who cares, Eales said we may sell some players for FFP, he never said "BIG" players, don't forget.

Very clever bloke Eales, he really started a national debate about the ludicrous nature of FFP!

It there really anyone who can afford him? We will want at least the double we paid for him.

So much for the we only ever play 433 crowd. Got everything spot on today, I just wonder how early season would have gone if we'd had a bit more time between matches to actually change things.
