It's decent, but thats it considering the money we have spent. Spurs and Man Utd having a couple of shitty seasons doesn't change that. The money we've spent is less than at least 4 of the clubs above us there, Villa spent a helluva lot in that time too, as have clubs below us. We're 7th in terms of spend & net spend in that time period. He's performed above what you'd expect. Also throw in the fact prior to 2023 the squads above him were in a by far healthier position than NUFC, he's performed a fucking miracle, man. Judging on the basis on who is above/below us is not the way to do it if you ask me, I'm just looking at our results. Man Utd/Spurs underachieving should have absolute no bearing on how we evaluate Eddie. If you think a points average of 60 points per season is a miracle I'm just going to have to disagree. What he achieved with us early on was without a doubt something miraculous though.
Vinny Green Balls
Isn't he average nearly 65 points since he's been here though? 2.5 seasons is a weird arbitrary number to start from. Average over 1.5 seasons would be 63.5. The last 3 would have him at slightly over 65 points. the last two would be 62.5 points. Edit. Slightly off, because I put us at 65 instead of 66 points last season. Edited November 13, 2025 by Vinny Green Balls

What he achieved with us early on was without a doubt something miraculous though. 23/24 could have easily fell off a cliff with the injuries, Tonali situation, etc. The fact he held us together to finish 7th as well as just miss out on European progression & another Carabao Cup Final was a massive feat. It's basically because of Howe that we didn't do what Spurs and Man Utd did in the league last season that year. I'm pointing out how things have developed after what was a fantastic start. So yeah, I'm then leaving out the fantastic start.. Sometimes the things that works early on is difficult to keep up. It's not difficult to grasp at all. And if you picked 1.5 seasons, you'd see a bit of an improvement. It's a marker that suits your narrative, and just highlights how easily data can be manipulated, particularly from people who don't know what to do with them. That is seriously concerning and what has triggered me to doubt him more than ever before. aye, that was quite a Brewcy thing to do and say. but i've calmed down now and i'll put it down to being a total brainfart of a moment - did not Tindall have a quiet word and suggest a change? That isn’t a new thing. He has always referenced height in the team. If for example he persisted with Burn out of position and an out of sorts Joelinton. While a fully fit Hall and Ramsey/Miley always stayed on the bench, we carried on stinking the pitch out in away games and that was still his reasoning. Then I would start to worry. Matt1892
I voted no as we are only 6 points off the European spots and he deserves the chance to turn it around. If it gets to 12-15 points off then that opinion will likely change.
