Woltemade has played almost every match and we can’t risk burnt out or injury with him as we’d be royally screwed. Osula is out injured and Wissa hasn’t kicked a ball yet. What other options did he have?

Why not keep your striker on? There is no need to experiment in the Champions League and if we are we might as well try something other than what we know will fail, put Barnes or even fucking Joelinton on.

Big summer window has gone and we have one winger that is performing. The other 3 have been shite (harsh on Murphy maybe).

We don't play to Nicks strengths (no fault of his). Wissa has one knee in the grave. Ramsey is so far back in the pecking order.

Thiaw is the only improvement on last seasons starting 11.

This isn't really Eddie related, but not sure where else to vent.

Questions need to be asked od Howe..another defeat on the road..Keeps.picking Pope when hes making errors every 2nd game.Playing Gordon up top when its proven to not work

oh FFS, they've been asked by some of you clowns since the 23-24.

Pope I give you. But FFS do you want him to run Woltemade into the ground before Wissa is back? there's obvious logic in the decision. It's a stopgap to protect our one fit striker.

Gordon up front again?

It’s never fucking worked for us fucking ever, remember at the start of the season when we drew games instead of winning them because we couldn’t fucking score with Gordon up front?

Playing Pope when he’s dropping clanger after clanger, and can’t kick the ball to save his life and keeps putting us under pressure.

No lesson is being learn’t, not fucking one.

We take corners and keep playing the short corner and never get the ball in the box a dozen times every fucking game.

It is Eddie related though, he’s the manager. We can’t keep using the Isak disrupted our summer excuse in the last fucking week of November.

He needs to make some big calls on players who are out of form or just knackered, I love the guy but he just doesn't seem to learn the lessons from past season's and more often than not it is an injury that forces a change for one of his chosen men.

He has paid good money for the players he wants in Ramsey and Elanga so he needs to start working some magic on them or they are just going to become a ffp nightmare.

It is so frustrating as he is a fantastic managers but he is stubborn to the point that at times it is detrimental to the team.

Of course this is Eddie ‘Premier League proven players’ related.

Should not be in charge of transfers going forward. Leave that to the Sporting Director.

For everyone whinging - exactly what was Howe meant to do? Play Woltemade tonight, in a game we would of liked to win, but didn't have to win or run NickW into the ground and he be shite against Everton at the weekend, and lose in the Prem away again?

He has no other strikers fit, who else is he going to play up front? Barnes? Elanga? Sean Neave?

Tonight was a gamble based on a squad teetering on the brink of loads of injuries, hes trying to learn from the last campaign and not play the same 11 into the ground every week.

Guarantee this thread will have more posts tonight than it did after we beat Man City [emoji38]

Aye, well done.

Everyone has said it, we can come out and play well against the big team but then we don’t bother in the other games.

Pointing to the Man City game isn’t dismissing th concerns about Howe people have been saying, if anything it’s more evidence of those concerns when you follow it up with what we saw in the 2nd half and the team selection.
