Prediction for the future of this thread.

People will point out valid concerns with mistakes Howe keeps making.

People will call out anyone who raises valid concerns as being bed wetters or whatever.

Circle of life.

It should really be as easy as 'Does their winger have good pace?' then don't start Burn.

We all love Burn, but the fact is he's slow.

In fairness other than against Bailey, Burn generally does well against fast players.

There's been plenty times people have said things like "Saka will rinse Burn" but it's never happened. Luton are playing with a front 3 and Ogbene as wingback though and he's isolated him 1v1 and absolutely roasted him all game, Howe should have taken him off after 10 minutes.

The reason it often doesn't happen is that the pacey winger is doubled up on by Joelinton or Gordon. It's been rare historically that Burn has been allowed to be isolated 1v1.

Fair point but not sure why you'd risk a shit start to a game, given we have a fast talented fullback on the bench who has already proven himself.

Shit, I only just remembered that 'dont change the back four' rule. haha. Nevermind

I kind of wonder why Livra lost his place though? He barely had a bad game. It seems like Livra is held to a way higher standard than Burn for some reason, because Burn can drop stinkers without losing his place while Livra has to be a world beater to keep it. Maybe it's tactical? I just feel like it doesn't really send the right message. Right now they are not really competing for the spot, because Burn will play nomatter what.

People need to not get their knickers in a twist at the criticism he will rightly come in for after this game, even if we win it. Burn has been a problem for most of this season, culminating in a fucking shambles today. Eddie needs to get ruthless and stop picking his favourites. Burn is not good enough for the type is football we want to play

Because he became ill? Because in his last start he had a bit of a 'mare? Because we've not been in a great moment and we need experienced calm heads?

Or is it because our manager is a knacker? Honestly the ridiculous flip-flopping of some on this forum makes me wonder if Lithium might be beneficial?

When was the last time Burn got dropped for having a bad game? Livramento has been way more consistent overall, so why is it then that Burn keeps the spot regardless of his overall performances compared to Livra?

Will so many performances like this make the owners think twice?

Just asking, not wanting Howe out. But imagine if Bruce produced something like this..

After so much good work against Villa, resulting in an excellent performance and result, he had a bad day at the office today. Too much space in behind the midfield and persisted with Burn for far too long.

He made the right change, just too late. Same happened against Villa but we got away with it that time; we barely did here. Hopefully he addresses that very glaring issue.
