Kanj
In hockey there’s a whole concept called puck luck. In the NBA there are legit calls that go towards superstars at the big teams. In NFL there are calls that go towards the big teams and their quarterbacks. So when anyone tries to tell me that doesn’t happen in football, and “I don’t blame refs” we don’t get half the same shit the favored clubs get. It’s fucking bang on true. Liverpool get penalties weekly. How about us? So at the same time I really want to point out that we’ve had mostly fuck all luck this season. Nee bounce. Nee ref. Nee shite. That change momentum or run of play. Do you sit rooting against us then? You clearly don’t watch any other sports then. See LeBron James. Patrick Mahomes. And don’t even say it doesn’t apply to football. Bias in referees sadly happens far too often in sports. Remember the dog awful thread we got here? Posting that fucking screen is hilarious. Displayname
It worries me that he cant find a place in the team for Tonali. Shouldnt be any doubt that he is a quality player and Eddie has had him under his wing for almost one and a half year now. Afraid that it shows that while he is a manager with a couple of extreme qualities, he is also a very limited one. Now go on and prove me wrong again for doubting you Eddie

It’s happened twice. That will give travelling sides some hope. ‘Keep these goalless for 30 minutes and the whole stadium will lose belief.’ I think this could be a big problem , teams have feared coming here for the last two seasons and aside from a blip at home to Forest you only win here if you are a Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal. All of a sudden though we are now losing to the likes of Brighton and West Ham, teams won't be scared anymore. Even our home wins this season have been tight and by the odd goal , we have been hammering teams at home for the last two seasons and we aren't doing that anymore either . Our problem is other than Isak we don’t really have any regular goal scorers. Wilson yes but he barely plays and Barnes is a finisher but can’t get a start. We need someone else who is a legitimate threat and creates like on the RW. Gordon isn’t even creating a lot at the moment and he’s not a natural finisher. Logical thing currently seems to be pushing Bruno further forwards because he’s the only one who can open teams up.
SUPERTOON
Still think our problems mainly stem from the lack of quality down the right hand side, even more so without Trippier. We are having to play players out of position on the RW or resort to either Murphy or Miggy, both aren’t good enough. Tino for as good as he has been hasn’t got the attacking quality either. Jackie Broon
The right side is obviously a weakness, but for me our problems mainly stem from the position Bruno plays and a lack of creativity in central midfield. We generally make things happen only when players push forward out of position and create an overload, but that leaves us vulnerable to the counter. I think Bruno is our only player with the vision and ability to unlock defences without relying on creating overloads, but his position is too deep for that, and when he does often push forward it leaves us very vulnerable. Lush Vlad
I’d love to see Bruno further up. Mad that he did it when we had Shelvey. Who is even slower than Bruno. But it now feels like Howe wants athletes as his two ‘8’s’. Can cover wide, box to box with a lot of recovery runs like Joelinton and Longstaff make, able to consistently make those under/overlapping runs out wide. For all his slowness. Bruno actually has a great engine and does get around the pitch. I really would like to see him further forward now. It’s becoming a real problem our lack of creativity and he can definitely do a job there. I think he even sort of half complained about playing 6 (still should be 4 IMO) not long into his first full season and that he sees himself as an 8. We would lose something in our build up. But that has never been great, anyway. What with it seemingly reliant on just ‘get it to Bruno’. Despite how many players are marking him. If that fails. Then hit a cross field pass to Big Joe. Say Joelinton plays right again, Bruno plays RCM and Tino is at RB. That is more than solid enough down that side. The issue then is who plays deepest. As we only really have Tonali capable of playing there. Even then, he is very different to Bruno on the ball. But he would provide more legs and cover in that deep role. I think he started that position, too. Albeit in a slower league. Edited November 29, 2024 by Lush Vlad

He scored goals in his first season here, can remember one really late winner where he arrived to head it in right at the whistle. That doesn't happen any more, maybe because he's more conscious his role is the deep lying midfielder.

So if say Man United have 10 possible appeals, and win all 10. Total number doesn’t work. Also you’d have to look at whether you’d consider the penalties they got as actually fouls. Compare them with similar incidents for other teams. How many entries into the penalty area etc etc. You can’t use total as a way to prove anything imo. I don’t think there is any grand conspiracy but equally I don’t think total is the way to prove anything.
