Just another absolutely brilliant day watching this guy's NUFC. Long may it continue.

Pressure does remain on because there's some tough fixtures ahead and the onus is very much now on sustaining the momentum we've so efficiently built this week. Not for the first time this season...

Two draws before New Year wouldn't be the end of the world but really we want to be looking at four given our record against Vile.

I was very wrong about not expecting Howe to move Bruno up, as I didn’t think he saw him as physically capable of being an 8 for extended periods of time. Its great how integrated Tonali is already, where would we be if the ban never happened?

Mental how one player in and one position change has seen us go from looking like a badly coached mess to very solid performances.

Even if Leicester and Ipswich were poor, winning gives you confidence no matter what.

When teams beat us we are poor, when we beat teams we are great

I aired my concerns and do not regret doing so. Please keep proving me wrong, 3 fantastic results and performances. The fact they’re against poorer sides is a good thing, as that’s where the issues were.

Bruno forward and Tonali deeper is working a treat now. Bit of a form finally and convincing results with performances to match. Beat Villa Boxing Day would be excellent.

Botman back soon, sign Bakayoko from PSV (or any talented right wing forward) in Jan and things are looking good for rest of the season.

absolutely no reason why we can’t have a go and take 3 points from each of villa manu and spurs either. tough games but i’m looking forward to it now

We've hit form and sorted our midfield balance issues at the right time to face those fuckers.

7th isn’t so unrealistic after all it seems…

Villa and Man Utd are winnable games, 4 points puts us on 30 point at the half way point, which is a similar tally to last season when we came 7th.

we are one point behind city.. when did that happen haha

Being a point behind this current City team is nothing to boast about, lol

But we are going along nicely, been a really good week for the team and Howe

A tough week of fixtures coming up, no doubt the doylems will be lurking and waiting to pounce if we aren't perfect

You said it wasn’t reasonable to expect it.

Something being unreasonable to expect regardless of circumstances, and something being unrealistic to achieve, are two completely different things.

You know this isn't true. I said it wasn't reasonable to sack him for not qualifying for Europe. How do you get "7th is unrealistic" from that?

Was thinking after the Brentford game this was not fixable. Will put my hand up and say I was wrong.

Same here. Maybe i am just too impatient for Eddie. Should know by now that he does adjustements slowly and methodically but the main thing is that he is doing them. He is just that sort of a manager.

Tough fixtures ahead so this week was vital. Well done!!

even during the indifferent form of the last few months, we’ve only been a mini winning streak from the top 6. fuck the haters, i’m enjoying eddie howes newcastle in form or not, better than anytime over the previous decade to him arriving
