We were still pretty poor imo. The sooner people realise that every game in the PL is difficult, the better. Forest are a decent side, playing for safety. Yes, they had a few injuries, but we were comfortable for 90% of the game and could/should have had another 1-2 goals.
KaKa
Loved the shape he started with today and thought there were a ton of positives from that. Wish Ramsey had just slotted in behind the striker when he came on for Woltemade. He's looked good there for Villa, and his through ball came from a central position today, when he drifted inwards from the left. We didn't need to change shape once Woltemade went off, and I think the team eventually paid for it. We did not control the game as well in the second half and defensively the same old problems from before started popping up, with gaps in front of the central defenders. For me personally, I'm sick to death of the 4-3-3 shape with Tonali sat in that deeper position. Seen enough of it all season and it doesn't work. I don't think he's going to move away from it, and will only change shape sometimes to play Woltemade if he stays. If Tonali stays and the plan is to mostly continue with that 4-3-3 shape then I don't want Howe to continue next season.

In fact, it only really looked like we’d go on and get another. It was a pretty dominant performance. It was a good goal from Anderson. Sometimes they happen. That ‘sometimes’ seems to happen quite a lot when we’re playing, particular in the last 15 minutes of games.

If you're chucking personal abuse at him for a one off game, forgetting how we were playing Barca in the first place, it 100% does to be honest. The performance is difficult to evaluate for that reason. We didn't create a great deal despite dominating the ball. A goal, and another 3 one on ones is plenty to win in a game like that I think. That's before the Osula free kick as well. I thought the performance as a whole was better than Brighton on that basis really.

Pilko
1 clean sheet in 22 games is an absolute disgrace, by the way and yet it's somehow going under the radar and barely being talked about. Probably because we're so crap going forwards so that gets discussed first.
RobsonsWonderland
I'm more relaxed about it all in the thinking that four wins in a row would have masked over the faults of the players, tactics and the management team. If it's means we don't get Europe but can hold our hands up to the squads shortfalls, I am happy if it means constructive change. Let's not waste the chance to do good out of a bad situation

We can go around in circles many times over, it’s been discussed at length on here. He had the funds available in the summer and January to “turn it around” and this what we’ve ended up with. He’s moulded the squad into what he wanted, he wouldn’t have signed off on the transfers in the summer otherwise. You think we should give him another boatload of cash to blow on crap again this summer?

At some point that ‘Eddie needs one game a week’ added benefit should be kicking in.

It’s not the individual players it’s the weak as piss mindset across the squad, which has been going on for so long that the finger has to point at the coaching staff who are unable to drill into the players that they need to protect positions where we’ve almost got points in the bag. Doesn't matter who’s playing, the team fucks up in the same way game after game after game. So for me, that’s down to the manager and coaching staff. A few times a season stings, but that’s football. But this has been going on consistently since August. Edited May 10 by bobbydazzla

Massively disagree, they were ran all over by Villa 3 days ago and had key players missing today. We played Palace who rested their best players and got beat and got beat off Sunderland at home who had around 6 first team players missing.
