Why not both? Not like we haven’t got the money for a few cameras

Because no one would go. Right now they can get 200 people or more to go to games a week before Christmas whilst it’s icy outside. Put it on a stream and you reduce that to 20.

Fair enough. I’m thinking selfishly as someone who wants to watch but lives 100s of miles away

That's a pretty amazing attendance for the 4th tier! Man city V Arsenal in the WSL yestersay only got a few hundred more than that!

They really really need to win the league this year, looks like it will be between them and Durham!

Looks like it's going to come down to that match. Same as last season. Wonder if they will just apply to go up, if they miss out again. Frustrating with just one team going up. The players and staff have been doing a great job.

What's even more frustration, is if they do go up and then somehow win that league, they don't automatically get promoted!! They have to have a play off with the team who win the Southern equivalent of the league!

It's also ridiculous that only 1 team gets promoted from the championship into the WSL each year! The game is growing, but it feels like the people in charge are doing everything they can to halt the growth at club level

You know what’s worse, a few years ago the FA asked for clubs to put forward teams who they would be willing to find to go professional. Any team doing so would be promoted all the way to the Super League, I’m sure Man Utd managed to gain from this.

Needless to say, Ashley had no intention of doing that for us.

I thought that was still a thing, we just wanted to do it the right way and grow naturally. Thought you could still apply to jump up to the PL2 or something.  Could be a very long journey if not.

I think it was just a 1 off thing. Manchester United (who previously didn't even have a team) got put in the championship, turned full time professional and got promoted after just 1 season up to the WSL.

A few years later, and they're currently top of the league!!

Big game next Tuesday as the women's team take on Durham at Kingston park.

Durham are currently 7 points clear but we have 2 games in hand, so this game will go a long way to deciding who wins the league

Would be good to get a decent crowd there, tickets are only £1 for under 16s and £3 for adults

Looks like we may have the more difficult fixtures to the end of the season, but we are in good form also. Must win next week though.

Almost identical to last season. If they can get that head to head win that they just couldn't last year, it is all in their hands. The Durham Match is everything though. HTL

That’s not true

If they win the league they go up (all good)

The play off thing (is for the division above)

So if they go up and then win that league (Northern premier)  , they have to play the winners of the (Southern premier)  in a play off to get to the championship.

However they are looking at potentially scrapping this play off and allowing both winners to go into the championship and two teams will then be relegated from the championship. (Currently one team)

Talks are ongoing as the look to change the promotion/ relegation process.

Huge game this Tuesday at Kingston park V Durham Cestria as it looks to be a straight fight between those two.

Great news about 16th April / St James Park again v Bradford

The season really hinges on the Durham match. It's a must win and then it's a case of winning their 2 games in hand to go above then making sure they equal or better Durham with the remaining games.

It's doable and hopefully they sign off with a game at St James' Park and promotion.

Fingers crossed for the lasses.
