Ndidi available for £9m. That sort of fee I think he'd be worth taking on as a 5th/6h choice midfielder. Send Miley on loan to Leicester for the season as a sweetener.

Their fans are foaming they put in such a cheap clause.

Miley out and Ndidi in would be one of the most mental transfers ever.

Ndidi will be off to Everton or West Ham. That's his level. Maybe Leeds or Burnley even.

Miley’s significantly better than Ndidi.

What level do we think a 5-6th choice midfielder should be? Someone good enough to start for a PL team in reserve for £9m should be a no-brainer for me.

He's had games here and been around the first team. I think long-term a season playing regular football would be better for his career than another season as 5-6th choice here.

We're in Europe next season, and the cups too, so he'll get tons of playing time here. Just like last season. Miley's definitely staying put.

As it stands, whenever Bruno or Tonali don’t play (which will happen a lot more often next season) he’s next in line.

Perhaps that changes if someone else comes in, but right now he’s getting a reasonable number of games next season.

With or without Miley, I'd still take him. People keep moaning about our bench compared to Villa for example, we need the sort of signings they made with Tielemans and Barkley to pad our squad out. Things like signing Walker-Peters as cover for full-back to allow Hall to play in midfield for example, plus cheap fees like Ndidi. That's £9m in fees (plus sign-on fees and wages obviously) but just by getting those two in, you're strengthening us in LB, RB, DM and LCM relatively cheaply.

If we make the champs league it will significantly effect what we do in the transfer market, both attracting players to the club and paying larger fees for better ones.

With champs league we could buy:

-Mbuemo (RW and cover for ST)

-Guehi or Huijsen (RCB)

-Gomes Free (creative midifeld, cover for Bruno)

-Trafford (Nº1 GK)

Villa's wage bill is astronomical. It's unsustainable. Hence they will need a big sale every season to keep up, with Mitchell in charge dont think that will be our approach, better to pad out the squad with young talent without the high wages (Ndidi is on 75 k a week)

I think they should be exactly at the level Miley is at now. They should be either one of our academy players or a young players trying to break through. Anderson and Miley as 5th and 6th choice would've been the absolute ideal situation in a a perfect world.

Could Billy Gilmour be an option either on loan or for a fee? Not been a regular starter for Napoli this season but I'd take him as our first back-up midfielder.

You think he's better than Miley ?

He’s not the quality we should look at, not even as a back-up.

If Barnes was to go to Villa i could see us going for Ademola Lookman..We were after him in Jan 2020

I can never work out what people see in Gilmour. Hyped up in the media and bang average. When we spend we need to improve our starting 11. Our squad is pretty thin; be great if some of our current first 11 could become bench/ rotational options.

Whoever we sign must have great technical ability imo. Preferably with good physical attributes (to some degree at least)

Not much to ask for then

No it isn’t! Not asking for a player as strong and physical as Joelinton with Cherki’s technical ability.

And that would've been the exact right time to buy him, not now. Just like Gordon he was at the very bottom of his upward curve then and he's pretty much at his peak now.  He's not going to be worth what nowhere near what anyone pays for him now in two years.

It's why everyone wants Mbeumo, he will absolutely be worth the same if not more in two years time. Plus he's been on a steady upward climb for two seasons now and is just about to peak over the next couple of years.
