Groundhog63
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Being an absent, part-time parent is an absolute cunt of a gig. Might be slightly more depressing if it's from zero fault of one's own compared to being caught on the side but that's some "can't do the Time? Don't do the Crime" level of inspect. Given his occupation it's not even like he can have the bairns every other weekend etc etc type arrangement. I feel for the man, regardless of his transgressions. We have Tino and Krafth as back up. I’d rather be playing Tripps than Krafth for any run of games mind. I would sell for a decent offer though, given our need to make money. Live and let live, go on tripps la. The game has moved on a bit from a sports science POV, mind. Wages, as well. I don’t think he should be getting hung, drawn and quartered because of this. But players getting wankered whilst injured is not really optimal from a recovery standpoint that’s before you even consider the optics.

mouldy_uk
The club should absolutely support him (and all the squad) the best they can as he’s obviously going through a tough phase. Yes that support can only go so far, but there is a duty of care for any organisation. I find it a little odd that some people want him booted but Tonali got comparatively little grief on here (which was good to see). I appreciate they are two completely different set of circumstances. McCormick
Having a mad sesh is probably not ideal for his recovery buts it’s not a mortal sin, man. In any case, what he gets up to in his personal life is none of our business (illegal activities aside); so long as he performs when he gets on the pitch. Elliottman
Probably more a case of how often it’s happening rather than an isolated incident. Get the impression it wasn’t exactly a one off.

I don't really care what he does as long as he performs for us when fit. It's still unprofessional though.

JEToon
You have to be a good and proper weirdo to take photos of a player sitting in a bar. People on here are probably judging these players to a more intense level than they are judged internally, it's not entirely out the question they are given a day off during rehab etc for the sake of their mental health, the only person Trippier or any other player has to answer to is their manager. But today that is highly unusual for players on the top level. That's one of the main reasons why players last longer today.
