Looks absolutely broken and tearful after that loss to Brentford. Fuck me.

Probably because he's just signed up to stay here for another few years.

Didn’t think he was any good either tbh but he was badly exposed.

We play 3 CMs yet our CBs always look exposed. At one point in the first half their centre half picked the ball up, ran half the length of the pitch, and may well have got a shot off.

It was crazy to see. Just ran straight through onto our back line.

Think that's just the way Howe rolls tbh. Shades of Bournemouth back in the days he was there. It's great to watch if you are good enough to actually create and score goals, but it means you get picked off like dopes if you aren't.

I thought he was decent again. One of a few positives. Wins his fair share of headers. They often don’t go anywhere near where he intended, though

Totally missed the flight of the ball for their 1st goal

It didn't happen in his first couple of seasons here though. We looked solid and would throw ourselves into challenges. Opposition players weren't allowed to travel 70 yards with the ball unchallenged.

I think that was partly down to the position we were in and the type of players who came in. We were great defensively, because players like Burn and Targett might not have silky skills on the ball but they got their foot in. We played quite defensively.

We did have a spell after signing Isak where we seemed to have gone up a couple of levels where we became a fantastic attacking side because we pressed relentlessly and teams had no answer.

But now they do have an answer, they either sit in a low block, or counter press us which we can't cope with. Howe's not dumb, he might come up with a solution, but really the only solution is better players. And we bought worse in the summer.

True. Crap all round. Murphy just sprints off and presses on his own. Trippier gives Outarra the freedom of NE1 to get his cross in. He then whips in a beaut, Botman gets under it and yet another midfielder sneaks in unmarked. No

midfielder has tracked him, passed him on and seemingly nobody noticed that a midfielder has got inbetween our CB’s?!

I just think that was a perfect cross. Was the only trajectory that evaded both our CBs.

Thiaw and Botman both have a habit of cushioning headers a few feet in front of them to opposition players. It doesn’t help the midfield 3 are always such a big distance away from them but we’ve been caught out numerous times by it.

Feel like both of them look better with one of Schar/Burn alongside them rather than together.

They are tired and lack confidence. They are also being given no protection from our midfield.  There was a moment yesterday where Ajer I think it was just walked all the way from their box to ours totally unchallenged.
