I see people saying that new signings are needed to freshen things up and give others a bounce.

Imagine what having Joelinton and Tonali back alongside him after having Longstaff and Miley for a chunk of it is going to do for Bruno...

It's going to be unreal man. Can't wait.

It’ll take time for Tonali to get back into the swing of the things but with the limited time we’ve seen them together the balance of the midfield didn’t look great, despite all the signs pointing to it being impenetrable.

They’ve had a year of training together.

He was getting the used to the premiere league in a brand new country, barely being able to speak the language and probably knowing what’s in the post for him in terms of the charges. All of those except getting used to the prem have gone now and he has had a long time to train with these guys. I reckon he’ll be fine personally.

That Miggy post, man. He's a proper captain.

So many little things...this, the "that's for you" gesture to Dubravka after equaliser v Bournemouth, going over to Alex Murphy after he'd initially conceded a pen only for VAR to overturn it...make him the full-time on pitch captain now, club captain when Lascelles goes.

Give him it now. Give his dad the keys to the city too!

His defending and covering that half space or whatever the fuck it is called where their wide men cut back was superb. Always seemed to be there to help out his full backs and centre half.

Got caught on the ball a few times today. Also showed how slow he is

Won a few massive free kicks right at the end after he gave away a rather daft one in a dangerous area.

Can't wait to see him next to Joe and Tonali.

It always feels like he has a monster 10-15 mins after a mistake. He gave away that free kick then spent the rest of the match just getting his body in between the ball and opposition. Basically killed the game.

Looking at all the individual player threads you would think we played amazing today.

No, I think people are genuinely chuffed at the effort and spirit of the players despite quite clearly playing poorly. You can be proud of the lads without them having great games.

The red card was a blessing

Until then they were just about the better team. The crowd were sitting expecting things to happen

Once we went down to ten everyone upped it 10% and the crowd got up for it

Just the best player in the world. Modern legend. He’s been the complete antithesis to the Ashley era. Gets the club more than anyone in my lifetime of support, gives his whole being to bringing success to it. Would die to bring a trophy here.
