Just by chance saw the original post where I assume this photo came from, and the comments are fairly brutal.  Whilst we discuss the questionable aesthetics of his abode, the less sympathetic folk on Facebook are collectively telling him what a scruff he is.

Maybe I’m used to being in Australia and having a laundry room, but I always leave the washing machine doors open.  It’s actually recommended to do it, as it prevents bacteria growth in the machine from mould building up - as well as stopping the rubber around the seal from stinking.

At the very least for an hour or so after use.

That’s a sensible washing machine policy I reckon.  There’ll be people reading this who sneer at the idea of a washing machine policy - but I bet their washing honks, unlike mine and madras’s

Run a washing cycle with White Vinegar now and again also.

White Vinegar is also good for softening towels.

Like all civilised people, I find no fault with it.  But folks who wear the same socks two days running I’d happily see buried alive

I like to get into bed with my socks on and then push them off with my toes of my other foot and leave them at the bottom of the bed. During the night if I wake up I carefully migrate them towards the missus' side just to annoy her cause she hates them

She obviously doesn’t understand that it’s impossible to get to sleep with cold toes - and socks are a vital part in the process of retaining warmth in that area until the temperature under the sheets is at an acceptable level.  Like most women she doesn’t understand this simple and logical measure.

Aye I'm big on sock hygiene. I've got 12 pairs of socks. January through to December. Must admit these February ones are ready to walk to the wash basket themselves now but just one more day to go before I can get the March ones out.

Why would he even need a washing machine when he wears the same mackem home top and Lonsdale trackies every day?

He washes his used toilet paper so he can use it again the next day

Need to get your circulation checked.  Socks in bed ffs. All I wear in bed is a smile.

That’s all I do these days, I don’t even cover myself - a duvet is an indulgence.  But on a cold night in NE England?  Socks all the way.
