Racist Keith there upset we've benefitted from the scrapping of the previous rule of cup winners getting a Champions League spot. A rule that has never existed.

He's a sweaty little nonce, and he's in the Epstein files.

The mental gymnastics on display are truly incredible.

Every possible outcome or scenario that has happened (NUFC win trophy, qualify for CL) or might happen (NUFC either finish above or below Sunderland this year) is somehow trumpeted as major moral victory on behalf of Sunderland AFC.

You'd think there might be an appetite amongst Sunderland fans for a message board which is not a throwback to a Yahoo chat room from the mid 90s.

They're complete and utter fuckwits on there. Seemingly, every single thing they do, has to be measured by something we do, it's utterly bizarre. Just enjoy the season you're having, you fat scruffs.

We’ve apparently spent three or four times more than them, since Ashley vacated the premises, and are currently below them in the PL table. This is apparently great research and quite ‘astonishing’. Dear God… I can’t even be arsed to point out the obvious to the envious.

They have a thread today complaining about the Holiday Inn at Boldon being rebranded as "Newcastle South".

It's a good laugh and I think some of them get the joke but a few are actually angry about it.

Does it not occur to them that a business might want to be linked to a city that is going to bring more customers in?

Not many outside Sunderland are pretending to be in Sunderland.

You’re taking about people who claim Newcastle Airport is outside of Newcastle, yet don’t understand how - if that even was the case - it isn’t a ‘win’ for them.

Fuck me. If we’re Wimbledon. Then they’re John Beck’s Cambridge United.

They play some of the most abysmal, appalling shit in the league.

Great reference.

Didn't he used to have the grass in the corners grown long to deliberately slow the ball down after they hoofed it in the general corner direction ?

He did indeed. Funnily enough in the mackems glory years of finishing 7th they never used to cut the grass or water the pitch before games against the big teams either, was one of the first things that really got up Wenger's nose before Fat Sam and the like started sticking it to him on the regular

The Holiday Inn at Boldon has an NE35 postcode, NE is Newcastle not North East as many makems think.

They are going to bring us right down to their level in a few weeks mind, just sit deep with a low block and try every trick in the book to nick a point and that's normally when we struggle. It sounds ridiculous saying it but I fancy us more against City and Barca in an open attacking game than I do against these lot. They did the same in the home game and look how bad we were.

We do at least seem to have discovered that we're allowed to shoot from outside the box in recent weeks so hopefully we'll have a bit more than slowly sideways and backwards to throw at them this time

It's certainly not going to be pretty, not because it's a derby but because they haven't been involved in a decent, entertaining, free flowing game all season.

It's just not what they do.

We don’t have the players to do that. We do what we have to do to get points on the board. That’s the reality of being a promoted team.

Newly promoted teams can do excitement though

Yeah. Pretty much what I said.

Although Leeds somewhat contradict your last sentence. They've played some lovely stuff and been involved in a lot of entertaining games.

Loads of late hits that go unpunished as well.

Bugbear of mine in general when Refs play 3 seconds of advantage then won't bring it back or booking the offender when repeatedly fouling but play carries on.
